The University of Vaasa is located on the west coast of Finland at the heart of Northern Europe’s largest energy and environment business cluster. With a history dating back to the 14th century, modern-day Vaasa is home to 68,000 inhabitants and 13,000 students. It is the educational, cultural and tourism centre of Western Finland. The city of Vaasa is easy to reach with just a one-hour flight from Helsinki and Stockholm, less than four-hour train journey from Helsinki, and a daily ferry connection from Sweden.
