The Office of Alumni Relations, located in the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House at the heart of campus, provides opportunities for alumni to connect with one another; engage in activities that are fun, enriching and benefit the U; and foster education and advance alumni careers.

Our mission is to foster and preserve lifelong relationships between the university and U alumni, U students, and the community, while aligning with the strategic pillars: inspiring student success, innovating new discovery, and impacting the lives of every Utahn.

Since its dedication in 2018, the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House has been home to the Office of Alumni Relations at the University of Utah.
The Eccles Alumni House is also a favorite venue for conferences, workshops, social gatherings, meetings, retreats, weddings, and other events.

1. Continue to communicate effectively, focusing on campus developments, achievements, and alumni and student success stories.
At the start of the year, we launched the #WhatsNewWithU series on our Instagram (@UtahAlumni). Once or twice a week, we feature an alum and share their recent accomplishments and updates with our audience! This is a great way for alumni to stay up date with both each other and their alma mater. We would love to feature you! Fill out this form to be featured.
In a similar vein, we share stories from our alumni (occasionally including students) through our bimonthly alumni newsletter, Alumni Connection.
2. Enhance career support and networking to alumni, with industry-specific events and programming, access to providing internships, and job placements.
The Forever Utah Network, the ONE network exclusively for University of Utah alumni, students, faculty, and staff, will pass 7,000 users this week. If you haven’t already, take advantage of this network today and sign up at forever.utah.edu.
U Career Success offers alums all of their services for up to two years post-graduation (individual coaching plus career skills).
3. Expand benefits to alumni, and more widely promote benefits we do have (such as discounts at the Campus Store, the free Forever Utah Network, access to campus wide events, etc.) in different ways, such as communication from campus areas.
Our newly-revamped Benefits webpage helps alums unlock access to exclusive benefits and discounts, including a 20% off Utah Red Zone discount!
The Utah Alumni App allows alums to create or continue meaningful engagement with their alma mater and fellow alums through convenient digital access. You can access your digital U Alumni ID, update your contact info, and view exclusive alumni benefits and discounts.
4. Create more opportunities for alums to be engaged in non-monetary activities, such as volunteering, board service, providing internships, mentoring – ways for them to share their time, experience, and expertise.
Alumni looking to give back to the U through volunteer service can make a positive impact on Utah students and fellow alumni by applying for the U Alumni Board of Governors. The Board of Governors contributes to our scholarship awarding process by cultivating relationships with campus partners; helping promote U Giving Day; expanding outreach to engage diverse alumni communities and chapters across the world; and hosting alumni and friends at Homecoming, tailgates, and service projects.
5. Continue to foster a sense of community through social events and opportunities to engage with students and faculty.
We often partner with different campus colleges/programs to bring exciting events to our alumni. For example, we recently held the Utah Games Senior Showcase, featuring the innovative creations of our Division of Games students.
