FABULOUS TORERO CASINO NIGHT Viva Toreros! Join in this fun-filled virtual fundraising event with parents, alumni, families, students and friends as we come together for an evening of entertainment, games, prizes, auctions and more!

The Fabulous Torero Casino Night is hosted by the USD Parents Association and the Office of Parent and Family Relations, and is a signature event of Homecoming and Family Week.

Net proceeds of this evening’s program will directly support students experiencing food, housing and textbook insecurity, as well as those experiencing unexpected hardship in their senior year. This fund was established in 2013 by the USD Parents Association Board and has helped more than 130 students persist and graduate from USD. Thank you for participating in this fun “party with a purpose” to help students achieve their educational dreams.

This event was created by the USD Parents Association Board as a means to support students in need at USD. It has turned into one of USD’s signature events and a “mustattend” over Homecoming and Family Weekend. Our goal this year is to raise over $50,000, adding to what has previously been raised to help over 130 students through the Parent Partnership Fund. While this year will be unlike any other, we’re grateful for your participation, especially as we dedicate this year’s net proceeds to students who are at-risk of not completing their education at USD due to food, housing, textbook and tuition challenges. The Parent Partnership Fund is a current-use scholarship and can be utilized immediately, helping us meet the financial needs of deserving students in the coming year. All Fabulous Torero Casino Night registrants will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Participation Drawing. With the purchase of a Party Box for Two, you'll receive an additional two (2) entries into the Participation Drawing (for a total of three). Participants may only win once. Shop the deals on the Homecoming and Family Week Marketplace!

Comprised of local and/or USD-affiliated businesses, this is an opportunity for USD to show its support of these businesses and the local economy. Some participating retailers are offering discounts and special pricing to USD guests, with some also donating a portion of their sales back to USD in support of students in need.

The Marketplace is housed on the Homecoming and Family Week website and on the OneCause Mobile Bidding website.

The Marketplace is LIVE until October 31. Start shopping!

PICK UP AND DELIVERY INFORMATION

Due to health and safety concerns, please note if an auction item is only available for pickup and/or delivery in the package descriptions. Auction items will be available for pick-up at USD on designated dates and times or will be delivered to the winner.

Majority of the auction items will be shipped directly to the winning bidder.

RECEIPTS

Receipts detailing purchases will be generated from our trusted OneCause partner mobile bidding software and emailed after the event. The USD Advancement Office will mail an official gift receipt and acknowledgment letter for tax-deductible gifts. For charitable tax deductions, please consult with your tax professional as to the deductibility of auction items. Please note, the amount of your contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of money contributed over the fair market value of goods or services provided. Each item has a value and is stated on the OneCause receipt. We have asked donors to do their best and provide the FMV (Fair Market Value). The Fair Market Value is also stated on OneCause for each package.
