An unwavering commitment to student success

The immense challenges facing our society today require leaders and problem-solvers who can think critically, communicate effectively, and work comfortably across cultures. At UNG, outstanding teachers and leading scholars have inspired generations of students to fulfill their potential as leaders who serve our nation and build the fabric of our region.

The past year has been different from any we have ever experienced, and we learned how truly amazing the UNG community is. Challenges turned into opportunities. Resilience, innovation, creativity and dedication underscored our efforts to support our students in every way possible.

We did not allow the pandemic to shake our unwavering commitment to student success. As highlighted in the news and profiles in this edition of UNG Magazine, our students can count on guidance from strong mentors, resume-building experiences, and service with leadership opportunities.

I frequently hear from our graduates about the impact that a particular faculty or staff member made in their life, sometimes changing their trajectory forever. Importantly, our alumni and donors play a tremendous role in student success, too.
