SESSION DESCRIPTIONS
Welcome to UNG Dahlonega's Nighthawk Preview- we're glad that you're here! After check-in and the welcome, you'll choose the information sessions you want to attend to learn more about UNG. Pick a session for each time slot, and use the map on the back of this booklet to find your sessions. We hope that you get a glimpse of what it's like to be a Nighthawk!
Residence Hall Tours - 11:00am - 2:00pm Tours of Donovan and Lewis Halls, our traditional-style residence halls, the NG Suites and the Commons, our suite style residence halls, will be offered. Residence Hall tours are independent of the guided campus tours. Visit each residence hall to receive your tour. Locations are indicated on the map in red.
Check-In & Registration - 8:00am - 9:00am, Convocation Center
Housing & Meal Plans - Come visit our Residence Life and Dining Services teams to get the full overview of meal plans for all students, and housing for non-cadet students. Our teams will also discuss the meal plan and housing options, as well as pricing and amenities available to students.

University Showcase - Bring your questions and learn about all UNG has to offer! This is a drop in session where you get to meet UNG clubs, organizations, faculty, and staff.
Honors Program - Stop by to get more information on the benefits of being in the Honors Program at UNG. Dr. Dansby-Sparks will be discussing the requirements to gain admission into the Honors Program, as well as the benefits and opportunities UNG students receive by being a part of this organization. Current Student Q & A - Hear firsthand what it's like to be a Nighthawk from current UNG students! Get your burning questions asked and answered and get the inside scoop about student life on the Dahlonega Campus. Financial Aid - Paying for college is an important part of your college selection process. Attend this session to hear from our Financial Aid team about paying for college, insights into why the FAFSA is important to you and your family, and learn about types of aid that are available to you. Cadet Admissions/Corps of Cadets-Interested in being in the Corps of Cadets at UNG and want to learn more about Cadet life? Come see our Cadet Admissions team and get your questions answered on what it takes to be a Cadet at UNG. You'll also hear from Colonel Matthews on how he leads our Corps of Cadets, what life is like on campus, and the opportunities that await you as a member of the Boar's Head Brigade. Study Abroad -Have you thought about the possibility of taking college classes in another country? This session will discuss study abroad, international internships, military programs, and other opportunities to take your UNG education abroad. Let's get started and see what program is out there waiting for you!
Language Programs - UNG has a robust language program with over 10 different options taught on campus. Interested in learning a foreign language or majoring or minoring in a language in college? Come find out what languages you can immerse yourself in at UNG! Student Involvement - UNG offers over 300 different clubs and organizations, there is something for everyone at UNG! Come learn about the different involvement opportunities for UNG students, including intramural/club sports, fraternity/sorority life, and more! Nighthawk Engagement & Student Transitions (NEST) -Learn what to expect after acceptance! This session will discuss how to confirm your plans to attend UNG, how to register for Orientation, and the Orientation process. Transferring into UNG - (This session is for students who have graduated from high school and have since attended a college/university.) Are you a transfer student and want to know what it takes to get into UNG? Our transfer information session is geared specifically for transfer students to discuss transfer admission requirements, transfer student resources, and answer any questions you may have about the transition process.
