Associate Professor Jane Taylor Associate Professor of Oral Health School of Health Sciences Each year, award-winning teacher Associate Professor Jane Taylor leads a team of students to West Timor to deliver oral health care to those in need. Students work alongside Associate Professor Taylor and volunteer their time to provide dental care to children in an orphanage, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Jane, a Central Coast academic and teacher, is now passing on her skills and training to a new generation of dental hygienists. 4

Tim’s passion for the ocean and the environment shaped his studies. With a science degree under his belt, Tim went from being a surfer with greenie tendencies to an environmental activist who initiates waste minimisation and ocean conservation campaigns, and is at the forefront of legislative reform and scientific research.

Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition Study the chemistry and biology of nutrients and functional foods. Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy (Honours) Learn to provide preventative and restorative oral health treatment to adults and children.
