Explore the beautiful world of Klimt through the exciting form of printmaking!
Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist painter whose work is characterized by golden or coloured swirling designs and spirals. We will be inspired by one of his best-known works, ‘The Tree of Life’ to explore his use of design, line and pattern and translate this into printed form.
In this workshop children will learn the skills and techniques to create prints using a polystyrene printing plate, pencil and printing ink. This medium is an exciting way to explore line, tone and shape and the results are often exciting and dramatic!

By the end of the day the children will have some beautiful, golden prints of their own to take home.
• Apron or old shirt to protect clothing, and a carrier bag to take this home in.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is suitable for children with a keen interest in art who don’t mind get their hands a little mucky!
