1. How do I book onto a course?

You can book onto the majority of our courses via the iTRENT online booking system –links to which can be found on the ECR hub. This gives you an online training record, which can be used to guide your annual development discussions with your PI or line-manager. A small number of our courses require a formal application; details of how to apply via this method are clearly outlined on the ECR hub web pages.

2. Who delivers the course?

Our courses are delivered by members of the Researcher Development team, as well as other internal or external experts.

3. How many courses can I book onto?

There is no limit to the number of courses you can book onto, however we would expect you to talk to your line manager about potential courses.

4. What happens if I cannot attend a course?

As soon as you know that you are unable to attend a course please go onto the TRENT booking system and cancel your place, we may have a waiting list and by cancelling your place we may be able to offer the space to someone else. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours until the course please email: researcherdevelopment@exeter.ac.uk

5. How can I give feedback?

Feedback can be given at the end of every course, alternatively you can provide feedback at ECR Liaison Forums or via email at: researcherdevelopment@exeter.ac.uk

6. What else do I have access to as a ECR?

As a ECR you are a member of staff and therefore have access to all the services a staff member does. Full details can be found on the staff webpage: exeter.ac.uk/staff
