Delivered in partnership with Art in the Docks, these make and take activities will be a great opportunity to explore creativity, connect with others and experience the vibrant spirit of our campuses through unique hands-on workshops.

Aromatherapy Candle Making
Festive Embroidery Workshop
You will learn how to make your own candles using natural soy wax and simple materials. You will be shown how to melt the wax, add fragrance, and pour it into a container to create your own candle to take home. It’s an easy, fun activity for all ages — no experience needed.
You will learn the basics of embroidery while personalising your very own tote bag. Using simple stitches, colourful threads, and your own designs or patterns, you'll create a unique, handdecorated bag that you can take away. This session is suitable for all skill levels, whether you’re a complete beginner or have some embroidery experience.

Marbled Paper Funky Christmas Cards
You will learn how to make your own collaged Christmas cards using a mix of colourful papers, textures, and festive materials. You will experiment with layering, cutting, and arranging shapes to design unique cards. You will explore simple collage techniques and combine recycled and decorative elements. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

After your subject talk, you’ll take a guided tour of our state-of-the-art facilities.
Fashion students will see our manufacturing workrooms, sewing studios, screenprinting spaces, and Mac labs. Games and Animation students will explore our multimedia production centre, with Animation also accessing edit suites, audio/visual labs and the green screen studio.
