As a student from the USA, we want you to feel at home in Brighton.
The city has a huge restaurant scene for international food, so you can find American classics like burgers, pancakes, southern BBQ and Mexican food. Or you can try dishes from all around the world!
There are also international grocery stores where you can find spices, pantry foods and fresh produce to make your favourite meals at home.
I would say to take the leap and do it. It’s going to be a little bit scary at first, but you’re going to meet some of the most amazing people you’re ever going to come across in your life. By the end, you’re never going to want to leave.

Undergraduate/bachelors-level entry requirements:
You will need to pass the High School Graduation Diploma (HSGD) with a GPA of 3.0 overall, and have one of the following:
• a score of 1600/2400 on pre-2016 SAT Reasoning Test (SAT)
• a score of 1050/1600 on the new SAT Reasoning Test (SAT)
• an ACT score of 24+

SCHOLARSHIPS
Studying in the UK is a great investment in your future. We offer competitive scholarships to support international students studying at Brighton.
Bachelors-level study: eligible students save £4,000 across a standard three-year undergraduate degree with a Vice-Chancellor scholarship.
Masters-level study: eligible students save up to £3,500–£5,000 with a Vice-Chancellor scholarship that can be combined with additional awards and a £500 early-bird confirmation discount.
Eligible students can combine the Vice-Chancellor scholarships with our USA Scholars’ Award, which is an additional £1,500 discount on a standard three-year bachelors degree (£500 each year) or a £1,000 discount on a masters degree
Postgraduate/masters-level entry requirements: We require a four-year bachelors degree with a minimum GPA of 2.6. For highly selective courses, a GPA of 2.8 will be required.

If you do not meet our entry requirements, you can study a pathway course at our international college to gain entry to an undergraduate course or certain postgraduate courses at the University of Brighton.
