University City District, in partnership with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS), has created a new report outlining actionable transportation strategies to make University City safer, more accessible, and better connected as the neighborhood continues to experience rapid growth.
This report serves as a starting point for ongoing conversations about traffic and transportation, rather than a comprehensive examination of all of the transportation and traffic planning needs in the years ahead in University City. In 2026, UCD will begin conducting data collection and additional research, and then expand our initial small group of stakeholders to include community representatives, local elected officials, and other key stakeholders at additional meetings to discuss the report and to spur next steps.
