I pledge to uphold the Objects of Circle K International, to foster compassion and goodwill toward others through service and leadership, to develop my abilities and the abilities of all people and to dedicate myself to the realization of humanity’s potential.

Developing college and university students into a global network of responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to service.

IDEALS To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.

To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

Reflecting on the past year, let me reintroduce myself. I'm Claytine Davis, serving as the President of the University of Technology Jamaica's Circle K International Club for the 2023–2024 term. As I write this message, listening to some Soca music, I can't help but express how thrilled I am to lead this vibrant, collaborative club filled with university students who share the same passion for service and volunteering as I do.

Embracing our motto, 'Live to Serve, Love to Serve', I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you—whether you're a current member or a potential member who will join this club after reading this well-crafted newsletter. A year filled with Service, Leadership, and Fellowship, as stated within the Circle K tenets.

As the club president, I take the lead in steering the organization. I'm like the captain, making sure everyone's on board and sailing smoothly. My role involves coordinating with my executive officers (whom you will be introduced to), assigning tasks, and keeping an eye on how things are going.

But hey, it's not all serious business! My job is also about having fun. I set the vibe for the club, getting everyone excited and motivated to tackle goals and make the year a success. Plus, I'm all about tailoring tasks to suit each member's interests and skills, making sure everyone feels involved and engaged. It's all about teamwork, and we have a good time while making things happen!

For this upcoming year, help me to help you, to help us, and make this Circle K year one to remember!"

Bulletin Editor’s MESSAGE

District’s Greatest BE “Most of you know me but do you really??”

I want to start by reflecting on my time in the Kiwanis family. I started at K-Kids which I vividly remember it was an amazing experience being so young but at the time I don’t believe I truly understood what it was to provide service until high school. That’s where I found Key Club.

I must say that was a time Key Club was spectacular. It was full of fun and laughter; the projects were bigger and more engaging and the fellowship and interclubbings were next level.

CKI was a no brainer at this point. Due to a certain global challenge CKI would have taken a form that I did not expect, and I had to adapt to, but it did not take away from the experience and the service we provided to our community.

Taking up the roll of Bulletin Editor was not one I expected but one I have come to love. It has brought back my love for creativity and art that I once lost.

I plan to produce and provide amazing content for you all across our social media platforms and definitely keep you all up to date with what we have accomplished each quarter.

GOALS UPDATE AFTER 1st QUARTER

On April 22, 2023, we participated in the Autism Run/Walk held at Shortwood Teachers College.

On May 13, 2023, we executed our Mother’s Day Project in Papine Square. Just a stone throw away from our campus. We provided unsuspecting mothers with goodie bags containing a variety of items.

On May 23, 2023, we participated in the Palm Division Labour Day Beautification Project at the Hamiltion Gardens Basic School in St. Catherine, Jamaica. At the project, we repainted the school's play area and planted an assortment of trees around the school compound.

On June 17, 2023, we executed our unforgettable Father’s Day Project in Papine Square. We celebrated fatherhood, brought smiles to faces, and created lasting memories in our beloved community.
