What makes us different BIOMEDICAL ORIENTATION

The Degree in Biochemistry has a clear biomedical research orientation. It includes the molecular study of the mechanisms of disease and molecular approaches to the observation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of human illness using knowledge derived from the molecular life sciences and their applications.

INTERDISCIPLINARY CAMPUS

The work of the biochemists in the School of Sciences is situated within the field of biohealth and biomedicine, a renowned area in the University of Navarra. Our School works in close cooperation with the Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy, and other research centers at the University, such as the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CUN), and the Center for Applied Pharmaceutical Biology (CIFA). This has allowed us to create auniversity campus specialized in the experimental and health sciencesthat is unique in the country.

RESEARCH TRAINING IN BIOCHEMISTRY AND BIOMEDICINE

Undergraduate students in Biochemistry are able to participate in a specific English-language training program which, under the supervision of a tutor, allows them to do things such as conduct an experimental research project in biomedicine within the degree program that must be prepared and defended in front of a committee entirely in English

INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

Students may take first year either in Spanish or English. Exchange agreements with other international universities enable study and research overseas. In addition, the 19% of the students are international.
