Use a screwdriver to remove the healing abutment and use counterclockwise rotation.

Use the right tool, and try to screw the abutment in the implant till you feel the resistance. However, don’t try to tighten the screw.

In the fourth step, it is time to get an oral impression. You can either take a digital impression or a standard impression with the help of an intraoral scan. It generally happens in the case when performing with CAM/CAD equipment.

Suppose you are making the prosthesis (whether sent to a laboratory or prepared inhouse), connect either a healing cap or a temporary restoration to the multi-unit abutment.
