Dear Alumni of Iowa Lutheran School of Nursing:
At the conclusion of the 2022 banquet, several ILH graduates volunteered to serve on a planning committee to assist the Unity Point Health – Des Moines Foundation and save future Alumni Banquets. Therefore, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2023 Iowa Lutheran School of Nursing Annual Alumni Banquet! To make travelling (and parking) easier we are planning an afternoon event.
The banquet will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Airport Holiday Inn, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines.
• Social Hour (cash bar): 1:00 – 2:00 pm
• Banquet at 2:00 pm with program to follow
At this year’s event we will celebrate the 50 and 65+ year anniversaries.
Hotel: A block of rooms is available at the Airport Holiday Inn. Please make your own reservations by Friday, August 20, 2023, to receive the discounted group rate. Call 1-800-428-4013 or 515-287-2400 to make a reservation. The guestroom rate is confirmed at $109, plus taxes. When making reservations, you will need to inform them you are part of the Iowa Lutheran Alumni. Guestroom reservations must be guaranteed with an individual’s credit card and cancelled by 6:00 p.m. prior to the day of arrival to avoid a no-show guestroom charge on the credit card.
Optional ILH Coffee and Tour: On Saturday, September 9, 2023, a complimentary coffee and pastry reception and tour will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 am in the Heffernan Conference Room A&B at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Tours of the hospital areas will leave the conference room at 9:30 am and 10:00 am.
To make your banquet reservation, please complete the form at the bottom of this page and return it in the enclosed postage-paid envelope. Additionally, gifts are always welcomed to increase the funds in the ILH Nurse Alumni Endowment. This fund awards an annual scholarships to a current ILH nurse.
