The Agriculture Department at Unity College continues to thrive, offering diverse opportunities for students to experience agricultural best practice. Term 1 saw a range of guest speakers including Trevor Smith – Elders Murray Bridge, John Gladigau – Bulla Burra Farms and Kelly Johnson – Woodlane Orchard. Experiences included:

+ Year 9 excursion to the 2023 Karoonda Farm Fair –participating in the Schools Wool Classing and Fleece competitions. Congratulations to the students as they brought home a variety of ribbons including the Most Successful School award!

+ Year 11 innovation in agriculture excursion – visiting Nangkita Dairies, a fully robotic dairy at Minbee, Mt Jagged and Buff Love Buffalo Dairy at Myponga and the artisan foodie enterprise.

+ Year 12 and Sheep Team excursion to Lucernbrae Merino Stud, Callington.
