Unity Care was established in 1993 by André Chapman. The organization is nationally accredited as a youth and family agency which approaches its work with focused, culturally proficient, and strengths-based care for each client. Unity Care’s goal is facilitating affordable, stable, and safe housing for youth, age 16-21, transitioning out of foster care.
Unity Care is a foster youth organization providing housing options to youth emerging from foster care. The group was founded in 1993 and provides life skills, support, stable housing, caring connections, and other programming to assist youth in attaining self-sufficient living.
It meets the personal needs of each of its clients, working collaboratively. The goal of Unity Care is to provide support to every child and family by embracing the 1-Child, 1Plan philosophy. Unity Care was founded in 1993 and focuses on a cultural proficiency which differentiates it from other providers. It maintains an employee training component which incorporates cultural perspectives and values differences and unique contributions which promotes learning from several orientations.
Founded in 1993, Unity Care has won a number of awards including GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency, Wells Fargo Award for Excellence, and many others. Unity Care is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation, an independent nonprofit accreditor of human services.
