Welding is an adaptive complex task that requires flexible eye protection to allow the welder to reach the welding area at effective protection level. The ADC technology compensates eye, head and neck movement of the welder, making it ideal for high demanding tasks.
Towards that end, KIMBERLY-CLARK PROFESSIONAL* has teamed up with BALDER*, the welding optics innovator. The addition of a BALDER* branded selection of welding helmet and PAPR system solutions that complement the existing JACKSON SAFETY* range to enhanced visibility, advanced color recognition and a whole new vision of what is possible.
The BH3 range of welding helmets and PAPR systems introduces ADFs that use ADC technology to achieve the highest optical requirements as requested by EN regulation. The result is reduced eye discomfort and fatigue that come from changes in light intensity, depending of the viewing angle through the ADF when exposed to light flashes.
The acquisition of BALDER* will allow KIMBERLY-CLARK PROFESSIONAL* to continue delivering unique and highly differentiated products based on proprietary eye and face protection technology that sets the standard throughout industry, enabling us to deliver on our customer promise to improve the welding experience. SmarTIGer Welding Helmet with SQ913 ADF The lightweight SmarTIGer helmet offers a light weight (only 510gr, ADF included) and an aerodynamic shell designed for better fume deflection and a smooth rounded perimeter for increased comfort. Protective lenses and ADFs are easily removed to be replaced or cleaned. Curved front cover lens reduces heat and spatter built-up, light reflections and fogging. All SmarTIGer welding helmets offered with SQ 913 ADF provided with a 2.5 year warranty from the date of manufacturing, offering a 1/1/1/3 optical classification according to Din EN 379: 2009-07. Helmets sold individually in a printed box.

Physical condition of the defective devices: Any modification to the original design, product markings and/or branding; misuse of the product contrary to the intended application advertised by KCP, or any other explicit recommendation included in the instruction manual for the product or abuse of the product will void the warranty. Specific defects on welding filters (ADFs), helmets and PAPR systems not covered by the warranty include: • Any damage created by fall or impact against a solid object and contact with hot surfaces and flames; exposure to excessive heat or force when adjusting replaceable components • Any power supply issues derived from corrosion from batteries exposed to excessive humidity or direct exposure to liquids; • Any defect caused by spatter on the liquid crystal or solar panel; • Deterioration from normal use on the decoration of the painted surfaces. Enquiries: If you suspect that the functionality of the product is affected and the instructions provided with each PPE device cannot solve the problem, stop the use of the PPE device, locate and register the traceability code printed on the product and contact your sales representative or our technical information service line: infofax@kcc.com. Our Customer Services may request you to ship the product back to us for further examination and provide further instructions for cleaning and packaging prior to transportation. KIMBERLY-CLARK PROFESSIONAL* offers limited warranty on welding filters (ADFs), welding helmets and PAPR components (blower unit) from the date of purchase by the end user as verified by a valid purchase receipt. For any complaints on this category of products during the warranty period, please follow the process set out below. Our complaint management system is based on you completing the complaint form through your correspondent Customer Service representative, making sure that, at the time you submit your complaint, you already have the respective product code, description of the product malfunction and the batch number at your disposal in order for us to confirm whether the PPE device is within the warranty period. Based on this, the Customer Service representative will ask you some questions to clarify whether the PPE device has been subjected to any form of misuse that will void the warranty. Once all input has been received, our Customer Service representative should be able to resolve your enquiry quickly in most of the cases. In other cases, preparation of the product for shipment to our facilities may be needed. We strongly recommend you submit your product complaints to your Customer Service representative as it is discovered, as this will have a direct effect on the validity of the warranty term. It is the employer’s responsibility to assess the risk of the task to be undertaken and to determine the correct choice of product or personal protective equipment for the task.
