COVID-19 is impacting everyday life and we are grateful to be in a situation that has allowed us to keep our doors open and serve our community. United Way reacted swiftly to the needs of the community at the beginning of the pandemic. • March 16 - convened local food pantry partners to begin organized food distribution • Established separate COVID-19 Fund to provide direct assistance to the most vulnerable and to help local agencies • Provided PPE supplies to frontline healthcare staff at GHMS – masks, shields, hand sanitizer • Participated in Forsyth County Emergency Management’s weekly meetings • Distributed bags of toiletry items, cleaning supplies, as well as school and art supplies • Facilitated drives for food, PPE and school supplies • Thus far, we have taken over 400 calls for assistance and paid out $52,800 in financial assistance and supplies

As the coronavirus continues to create an evolving situation with varied impacts around the world and across the states, we continue to feel those impacts here at home. United in our efforts, we are all in this together.

WE ARE STILL HERE - still here to support our community partners, still here working to provide important programs, information, and opportunities, still here to support those affected by COVID-19 and still here for you and your family. We continue to work every day to improve lives and provide opportunities in the areas of education, financial stability, health and basic needs.
