Welcome to the Winter 2019 Edition of United Voices!

On behalf of the entire staff at North Dakota United, I wanted to wish everyone a joyous holiday season!

Four times per year, United Voices magazine is put together by a dedicated group of NDU staff, including Tom Gerhardt, our director of public affairs; Sarah Keiser Johnson, our special projects coordinator; and myself. Additionally, each issue is designed by Kelli Metzger and managed through the printing and mailing process by Mike Upgren, at Image Printing, a union print shop in Bismarck. But the real reason for the magazine-ing are each and every one of YOU!

The work you all do, for students and for families in our state, as public educators and public employees is the inspiration to everything written in these pages. It’s why our entire staff works so hard in service to all of you, the members of North Dakota United. Because we see how hard all of you work on behalf of the great people in our state each day, we hope to give you every bit of that effort back.

Thank you for reading United Voices in 2019, and we hope to see all of you back here again in 2020!
