We wanted to let you know that due to current supply constraints we are only making SMA Soya available to babies with galactosaemia (or for those pending a negative test for galactosaemia*) and are prescribed to use SMA Soya for the condition. This is to ensure that SMA Soya is available to the babies who need it most – due to the fact that there may be limited alternatives.
To ensure we supply SMA Soya for these babies, supply is on allocation. If you have a customer requesting this product, please check they require it to manage galactosaemia (or that they are awaiting a galactosaemia test result) and have a prescription.
If not, please refer them back to their healthcare professional for an alternative product.
Once you have established the customer needs SMA Soya to manage galactosaemia (or that they are awaiting a galactosaemia test result), please contact the Nestle Careline team on 1800 931 832.
The Nestle Careline team will instruct the medical wholesaler to deliver SMA Soya to your pharmacy within the usual delivery time frames. Once the product has arrived you can then dispense to the customer.

*Please note that this is only relevant for babies born within the travelling community, as the prevalence of galactosaemia is higher within this community. Galactosaemia is not routinely tested for outside the travelling community.
