INTENDED USE — A general purpose and energy-efficient surface-mounted or suspended LED fixture, suitable for wet, damp and/or cold locations. For vapor-tight demanding environments where moisture or dust is a concern and where relatively low fixture mounting heights and wide fixture spacing are common. Not for use or installation in direct outdoor sunlight. Must be installed under canopy or covered ceiling. For direct sunlight installations, please refer to the FEX product family. Typical applications include industrial facilities, parking garages, retail malls, multi-purpose rooms, garden centers, and food processing. Certain airborne contaminants may adversely affect the functioning of LEDs and other electronic components, depending on various factors such as concentrations of the contaminants, ventilation, and temperature at the end-user location. Click here for a list of substances that may not be suitable for interaction with LEDs and other electronic components.
CONSTRUCTION — One-piece 5VA fiberglass housing with integral perimeter channel utilizing continuous poured-in-place NEMA 4X gasket. Approved for through wiring. Captive polymeric latches are standard. Stainless steel latches (#316) available as an option for food processing or more demanding applications. Power connection is easily accomplished through pre-drilled holes.
OPTICS — Injection molded, acrylic lens (.080" thick) provides high impact-resistance comparable to 100% DR. A UV stabilized polycarbonate diffuser is available (.080" thick) in clear or frosted for additional impact strength where vandal protection is desired.
Expected service life of 60,000 hours at 80% lumen maintenance (L80); predicted life of more than 100,000 hours.
ELECTRICAL — Utilizes high-efficiency LEDs mounted to core circuit boards. High-efficiency drivers operate 120-277 (MVOLT) and 347-480 (HVOLT) offered with 0-10 volt dimming, dims to 10%. Standard Luminaire Surge Protection Level: 6kV/3kA Surge Rated per ANSI C82.77-5-2015.
INSTALLATION — A pair of stainless steel surface mount brackets (SMB) are included (unless another mounting option is chosen) allowing for surface (ceiling) or suspension mount applications using included bail with aircraft cable or chain. Optional pair of dual pendant mount brackets (DPMB) are available for surface (ceiling) or suspension mount applications using either 3/8" threaded rod or included bail with aircraft cable or chain. Optional pair of angle mounting brackets (ANGBKT) for horizontal wall mount applications. LISTINGS — CSA Certified to UL and C-UL Standards. Suitable for wet location. IP65, IP66, IP67 rated. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
New construction housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. Patented design allows for easy, tool-less removal of the driver.
SPECIFICATION
Housing: 0.040 " Aluminum shallow housing can be installed in 1/2" ceiling thickness, an extension collar (NIO- 4 EXTC2) is available for ceiling thickness up to 2".
Patented Driver Assembly: Allows driver to slide out of housing without tools from the room side.
Air Flow Restriction: Meets requirments of Air-Tight (AT) <2CFM (cubic feet per minute) in accordance with ASTM283 Air-Tight requirements.
Clearance: “IC” Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated. Not to be used in direct contact with spray foam insulation.
Bar Hangers: Two 13- 3/4" to 24- 1/2 " adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on housing. Bar hangers are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90° perpendicular to junction box if desired. “L”-shaped bar hanger foot to align to bottom of construction joist. A T-bar notch allows for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.
Junction Box: Pre-wired 25 cubic inch 0.064" thick galvanized steel, with seven 1/2 " knockouts, four Romex® pryouts, and snap on covers. All leads are #18AWG wire, the ground wire is connected to the bottom, and quick connectors are supplied on all leads. Maximum of 8 no. 12 AWG through branch circuit conductors suitable for at least 90°C permitted in junction box. Junction box is accessible from the room side through housing opening.
EMERGENCY
Pre-Wired: Housing can be specified with connections for emergency battery installation. Requires access above ceiling. Must specify battery with remote test switch separately (NEPK- 07LEDUNV ).
Note: Pre-Wired is not compatible with Chicago Plenum housings Integrated: Compact emergency driver is mounted directly to the junction box allowing below ceiling access. What Does NVG Friendly Mean?
Both the FAA and Transport Canada have issued safety alerts warning that common LED obstruction lights pose a hazard to pilots using Night Vision Goggles (NVGs). This is due to the fact that NVGs typically use filters to block cockpit lighting from saturating the imaging system. This has the unintended effect of making LED obstruction lights invisible to pilots. In response, we have incorporated NVG Friendly technology into our fixture (IR 860 nm peak intensity), giving pilots using night vision goggles unmatched visibility of airfield perimeters, buildings, and towers. The L810LEDNV light is the first LED L-810 available to ensure that your structure is visible to all pilots, making it the first true LED replacement for incandescent obstruction lights.

Alarm Line Option:
For AC and DC model fixtures, the blue wire (18AWG) is defined as the Alarm Line. When the red LED fails, the fixture’s input voltage for the fixture will be present at this wire. For AC and DC model fixtures, during normal operation (LED ON), it will have 0 VAC and 0 VDC respectively at the blue wire; in case of LED failure (turning off), it will energize the blue wire to the fixture’s input voltage, 100-277 VAC for AC models and 12-48 VDC for DC model fixtures.

Obstruction Lighting Controls
Lighting controls are designed for use when multiple obstruction light fixtures are to be controlled with common electronics. The electronic control module comes in a cast iron device box with threaded hubs on both top and bottom. Replacement modules (controls without device box) are also available upon request.

Instant ON photocell has 3-5 second time delay that prevents activation and de-activation from momentary light conditions. Does not come with device box, includes 1/2" threaded male fitting.

Edge-lit Exit is available in either single or double face. Face is constructed with 0.40 clear acrylic with rounded and finished edge for attractive appearance. Face contains red or green 6” high and 3/4” thick lettering inside face to comply with NFPA requirements. Reflective stick-on chevrons provided and are applied to rear of panel in order for light to reflect off the inner face of the chevron tape to provide a similiar effect as the lettering embedded inside the acrylic. Face can be adjusted in the field from 0º to 90º for wall, ceiling or sloped applications.

New construction housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. Patented design allows for easy, tool-less removal of the driver.
SPECIFICATION
Housing: 0.040 " Aluminum shallow housing can be installed in 1/2" ceiling thickness, an extension collar (NIO- 4 EXTC2) is available for ceiling thickness up to 2".
Patented Driver Assembly: Allows driver to slide out of housing without tools from the room side.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
New construction housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. Patented design allows for easy, tool-less removal of the driver.
SPECIFICATION
Housing: 0.040 " Aluminum shallow housing can be installed in 1/2" ceiling thickness, an extension collar (NIO- 4 EXTC2) is available for ceiling thickness up to 2".
Patented Driver Assembly: Allows driver to slide out of housing without tools from the room side.
Air Flow Restriction: Meets requirments of Air-Tight (AT) <2CFM (cubic feet per minute) in accordance with ASTM283 Air-Tight requirements.
Clearance: “IC” Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated. Not to be used in direct contact with spray foam insulation.
Bar Hangers: Two 13- 3/4" to 24- 1/2 " adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on housing. Bar hangers are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90° perpendicular to junction box if desired. “L”-shaped bar hanger foot to align to bottom of construction joist. A T-bar notch allows for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.
Junction Box: Pre-wired 25 cubic inch 0.064" thick galvanized steel, with seven 1/2 " knockouts, four Romex® pryouts, and snap on covers. All leads are #18AWG wire, the ground wire is connected to the bottom, and quick connectors are supplied on all leads. Maximum of 8 no. 12 AWG through branch circuit conductors suitable for at least 90°C permitted in junction box. Junction box is accessible from the room side through housing opening.
EMERGENCY
Pre-Wired: Housing can be specified with connections for emergency battery installation. Requires access above ceiling. Must specify battery with remote test switch separately (NEPK- 07LEDUNV ).
Note: Pre-Wired is not compatible with Chicago Plenum housings Integrated: Compact emergency driver is mounted directly to the junction box allowing below ceiling access. Compared to traditional emergency driver that are larger and remote mounted which requires access above ceiling. 90 minute illumination time with 6W output in emergency mode. Battery requires 24 hours to recharge and consumes 3W when charging. Remote test switch and 3' cable included.
