INSTALLATION
UPLD Series fixtures offer several convenient methods for installation and can be installed as direct wire or portable luminaires. Fixtures may be mounted flush to the backsplash or up against the front lip of the cabinetry using captive mounting screws.
Direct Wire
The UPLD 9", 14", 22" and 30" lengths have a rear wiring access compartment and push-in electrical connectors for direct-wire application • Each length includes a die cast fitting for 3/8" flexible metal conduit • Optional UCD JB Junction/Splice box (sold separately) is available to facilitate bringing power to front end of cabinetry and then using jumper cords to connect to fixtures (see installation diagram below) • All standard mounting hardware included • 17" jumper wire and straight joiner (row) connector are included accessories.
Electrically Connecting Multiple Fixtures Fixtures can be electrically joined together using either the straight joiner (row) connector supplied with each fixture or with the included 17" connector jumper cord or optional 24" UC ERC24 connecting cord. CONSTRUCTION
Housing: Rear wireway access cover with stab-in electrical connectors facilitate wiring without opening the fixture. Additional knock-outs for top and back wiring.
Installation: Mounting hardware is included with each unit. Captive screws allow for quick installation, simply wire using rear door and quick connects, and hold in place and drive captive screws into material. Captives screws are covered with an included cap for a beautiful finished look.

CONSTRUCTION — Compact-design channel and cover are formed from code-gauge cold-rolled steel. Easy to install six-point row aligner included for continuous row mounting.

Optional motion sensor (4' only): Microwave motion sensor can detect motion up to 17' away and 120˚ under the luminaire. All MS are preset to dim from 100% to 50% after 1 minute, then turn off after another minute without detected motion. The light sensor is enabled to keep fixture inactive when detecting light levels of 50 Lux or higher for daylight savings. Dip switches can be used to change the motion sensor settings. After each power cycle, the fixture will perform a start-up cycle and resume normal operation. Note: 0-10V dimmer cannot be used with MS and EMMS configurations.

Surface mounted, it’s ideal for commercial, residential, industrial, and retail applications, such as stairwells, hallways, garages, schools, offices, and more. Easy to install and great for replacing outdated fluorescents with an energy efficient, cost saving alternative. The luminaire’s lens is designed to uniformly spread and soften the appearance of the light while maximizing its distribution and output. Each luminaire includes two switches; Selectable Lumens easily allows the end user to determine the wattage input & Selectable CCT changes the color temperature appearance so it is perfectly customized to your needs.

Optional motion sensor (4' only): Microwave motion sensor can detect motion up to 17' away and 120˚ under the luminaire. All MS are preset to dim from 100% to 50% after 1 minute, then turn off after another minute without detected motion. The light sensor is enabled to keep fixture inactive when detecting light levels of 50 Lux or higher for daylight savings. Dip switches can be used to change the motion sensor settings. After each power cycle, the fixture will perform a start-up cycle and resume normal operation. Note: 0-10V dimmer cannot be used with MS and EMMS configurations.
Emergency (4' only): Luminaire can be specified with an emergency battery with integral test switch Battery operates luminaire at 8W for 90-minute emergency operation on fully charged battery. Battery may take up to 24 hours to fully charge.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
New construction housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. Patented design allows for easy, tool-less removal of the driver.
SPECIFICATION
Housing: 0.040 " Aluminum housing can be installed in 1/2" ceiling thickness, an extension collar (NIO- 4 EXTC2) is available for ceiling thickness up to 2 "
Patented Driver Assembly: Allows driver to slide out of housing without tools from the room side Housing includes a removable top cover for driver maintenance above the ceiling.
Air Flow Restriction: Meets requirments of Air tight (AT) <2CFM (cubic feet per minute) in accordance to ASTM 283.
Clearance: “IC” Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated. Not to be used in direct contact with spray foam insulation.
Bar Hangers: Two 13- 3/4" to 24- 1/2 " adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on housing. Bar hanger brackets are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90 ° perpendicular to junction box if desired. “L”-shaped bar hanger foot to align to bottom of construction joist. A T-bar notch allows for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.
Junction Box: Pre-wired 25 cubic inch 0.064" thick galvanized steel box with seven 1/2 " knockouts and snap on covers. All leads are #18AWG wire, the ground wire is connected to the bottom, and quick connectors are supplied on all leads. Maximum of 8 no. 12 AWG through branch circuit conductors suitable for at least 90°C permitted in junction box Junction box is accessible from the room side through housing opening.
Romex Strain Relief: Junction box includes two Romex tabs with two slots at each tab for NM-cables of 12/2 to 14/2. The strain relief allows for easy installation and less materials.

OPTICS — Two high-performance LED lamp heads rated at 3 watts each, delivering a total of 536 lumens (268 lumens per lamp). Two white LEDs per head provides a redundant light source that ensures emergency lighting performance. The typical life of an LED is 10 years.

EMERGENCY

BROWNOUT CIRCUIT
Brownout circuit monitors the flow of AC current to the unit and triggers the exit light once a set reduction of AC power occurs. This dip in the voltage will cause many fixtures to extinguish causing loss of normal lighting even though a total power failure has not occurred.
SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION
Overload monitoring system is a solid-state circuit which monitors the load and disconnects from the battery should an overload or short circuit occur. The overload current protection eliminates the need for fuses or circuit breakers for the DC load.
TESTING
Luminaire includes manual test button for manual verification the transfer circuit and battery operate correctly. Luminaire also performs self-tests and diagnostics on battery, charging board, transfer circuit, and exit sign.
If a failure is detected, an indicator LED will blink red until fault is corrected. A solid green indicator LED indicates no faults and blinked green indicates a test is in progress.
COLD WEATHER OPTION
Exit sign can be used in cold weather locations with heating pad accessory, must specify -CC suffix. When exit sign reaches a low temperature a heating pad will keep the battery within operating temperature, allowing the exit sign to work in temperatures down to -25°C.

CONSTRUCTION — One-piece 5VA rated fiberglass housing with integral perimeter channel utilizes continuous poured-in-place NEMA 4X gasket. Simple two-piece design consists of housing and optical assembly to streamline installation process. Polymeric latches positively attach to housing and keep from becoming a hindrance during install.
OPTICS — Injection-molded, acrylic lens (.080" thick), provides high impact-resistance comparable to 100% DR. F1 rated for outdoor use, lenses resist breaking, yellowing or becoming brittle over time. UV stabilized polycarbonate diffuser available (.080" thick) in clear or frosted for additional impact strength. Polycarbonate lens is recommend for lower mounting heights where vandal protection is desired.
ELECTRICAL — Tool-less one piece optical assembly combines LEDs and lens into one component. Optical assembly easily connects to housing with plug and play harness, eliminating time consuming wiring connections. High-efficiency drivers operate 120-480V offered with 0-10V dimming, allowing granular control when coupled with wireless networking controls. Luminaire Surge Protection Level: Designed to withstand up to 2.5kV/0.75kA per ANSI C82.77-5-2015. L85 at 60,000 hours.
INSTALLATION — Two-piece design makes installations faster than ever by simplifying wiring connections. Power connection is easily accommodated through pre-drilled holes at each end, optional wet location fittings available for maximum flexibility.
Stainless steel (#316) surface spring-mounting brackets with bail wires standard (2 included) allow for ceiling, wall or suspended mount.
Swivel stem(provided by others) when pendant mounting. Factory installed junction box option accommodates up to 4X4 sized boxes and includes integrated gasket to maintain wet location listings. Quick Mount Bracket (QMB) ships installed on fixture and is recommended for fastest surface mount installs, ideal for end to end installations or larger jobs.

Edge-lit Exit is available in either single or double face. Acrylic face has rounded and finished edge for attractive appearance. Red or green 6" lettering inside face with adhesive mounted chevrons included. Face can be adjusted in the field from 0° to 90° for wall, ceiling, or sloped applications.
MOUNTING
Two 13-3/4" to 24-1/2" adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on housing. Bar hangers are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90° perpendicular to junction box if desired. A T-Bar notch allow for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.

INTENDED USE
The rugged construction and maintenance-free performance of the D-Series LED Bollard is ideal for illuminating building entryways, walking paths and pedestrian plazas, as well as any other location requiring a low-mounting-height light source.
CONSTRUCTION
One-piece 8-inch-round extruded aluminum shaft with thick side walls for extreme durability, and die-cast aluminum reflector and top cap. Die-cast aluminum mounting ring allows for easy leveling even in uneven areas and full 360-degree rotation for precise alignment during installation. Three ½” x 11” anchor bolts with double nuts and washers and 3-5/8” max. bolt circle template ensure stability. Overall height is 42” standard.
FINISH
Exterior parts are protected by a zinc-infused super durable TGIC thermoset powder coat finish that provides superior resistance to corrosion and weathering for maximum retention of gloss and luster. A tightly controlled multi-stage process ensures a minimum 3-mil thickness for a finish that can withstand the elements without cracking or peeling. Available in both textured and non-textured finishes.
OPTICS
Two 0% uplight optical distributions are available: symmetrical and asymmetrical. IP66 sealed LED light engine provides smoothly graduated illumination without uplight. Light engines are available in standard 4000 K (>70 CRI) or optional 3000 K (>80 CRI) or 5000 K (67 CRI). Limited-wavelength amber LEDs are also available.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
New construction housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. Patented design allows for easy, tool-less removal of the driver.
SPECIFICATION

Patented Driver Assembly: Allows driver to slide out of housing without tools from the room side
Air Flow Restriction: Meets requirments of Air-Tight (AT) <2CFM (cubic feet per minute) in accordance with ASTM283 Air-Tight requirements.
Clearance: “IC” Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated. Not to be used in direct contact with spray foam insulation.
Bar Hangers: Two 13- 3/4" to 24- 1/2 " adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on housing. Bar hangers are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90 ° perpendicular to junction box if desired. “L”-shaped bar hanger foot to align to bottom of construction joist. A T-bar notch allows for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.
Junction Box: Pre-wired 25 cubic inch 0.064" thick galvanized steel box with seven 1/2 " knockouts and snap on covers. All leads are #18AWG wire, the ground wire is connected to the bottom, and quick connectors are supplied on all leads. Maximum of 8 no. 12 AWG through branch circuit conductors suitable for at least 90°C permitted in junction box Junction box is accessible from the room side through housing opening.
Romex Strain Relief: Junction box includes two Romex tabs with two slots at each tab for NM-cables of 12/2 to 14/2. The strain relief allows for easy installation and less materials.
Pre-Wired: Housing can be specified with connections for emergency battery installation. Requires access above ceiling. Must specify battery with remote test switch separately (NEPK- 07LEDUNV ).
Note: Pre-Wired is not compatible with Chicago Plenum housings Integrated: Compact emergency driver is mounted directly to the junction box. Access above ceiling required 90 minute illumination time with 6W output in emergency mode. Battery requires 24 hours to recharge and consumes 3W when charging. Remote test switch and 3' cable included.

INTENDED USE — Ideal for wet location areas requiring exit signs for AC only or battery back-up power that are subject to saturation with non-mechanically delivered water. CONSTRUCTION — White, compact, contemporary design. Engineering-grade thermoplastic housing is impact-resistant, scratch-resistant and corrosion-proof. Universal directional Chevron inserts are easily removed and reinserted. UL94V-0 flame rating. UV-stable resin resists discoloration from natural and man-made light sources. Rugged, heavy-duty, polycarbonate clear housing lens. Housing also available in black or gray. Letters 6" high with 3/4" stroke, with 100 ft. viewing distance rating, based upon UL924 standards.
OPTICS — Low energy consumption — fewer than 5 watts. The typical life of the exit LED lamp is 5 years, based on 24/7 operation.

BROWNOUT CIRCUIT
Brownout circuit monitors the flow of AC current to the unit and triggers the exit light once a set reduction of AC power occurs. This dip in the voltage will cause many fixtures to extinguish causing loss of normal lighting even though a total power failure has not occurred.
SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION
Overload monitoring system is a solid-state circuit which monitors the load and disconnects from the battery should an overload or short circuit occur. The overload current protection eliminates the need for fuses or circuit breakers for the DC load.
TESTING
Luminaire includes manual test button for manual verification the transfer circuit and battery operate correctly. Luminaire also performs self-tests and diagnostics on battery, charging board, transfer circuit, and exit sign.
If a failure is detected, an indicator LED will blink red until fault is corrected. A solid green indicator LED indicates no faults and blinked green indicates a test is in progress.
COLD WEATHER OPTION
Exit sign can be used in cold weather locations with heating pad accessory, must specify -CC suffix. When exit sign reaches a low temperature a heating pad will keep the battery within operating temperature, allowing the exit sign to work in temperatures down to -25°C.
