Lumen Management: Unique lumen management system (option N80) provides onboard intelligence that actively manages the LED light source so that constant lumen output is maintained over the system life, preventing energy waste created by the traditional practice of over-lighting.
SENSOR — Integrated sensor (individual control): Sensor Switch MSD7 (Passive Infrared (PIR)) integrated occupancy sensor photocell allows the luminaire to power off when the space is unoccupied. See page 4 for more details on the integrated sensor.
Integrated Sensor (nLight Wired Networking): The sensor is nLight-enabled, meaning it has the ability to communicate over an nLight network. When wired using CAT-5 cabling with other nLight-enabled sensors, power packs, or WallPods, an nLight control zone is created. Once linked to a Gateway, directly or via a Bridge, the zone becomes capable of remote status monitoring and control via SensorView software. See page 4 for the nLight sensor options.
Interated Smart Sensor (nLight AIR Wireless Platform): The RES7 sensor is nLight AIR enabled, meaning it has the ability to communicate over the wireless nLight control platform. It is available with an automatic dimming photocell, and either a digital PIR or a dual technology occupancy sensor. It pairs to other luminaires and wall switches through our mobile app, CLAIRITY, which allows for simple sensor adjustment. See page 4 for more details on the Integrated Smart Sensor.

BROWNOUT CIRCUIT
Brownout circuit monitors the flow of AC current to the unit and triggers the exit light once a set reduction of AC power occurs. This dip in the voltage will cause many fixtures to extinguish causing loss of normal lighting even though a total power failure has not occurred.
SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION
Overload monitoring system is a solid-state circuit which monitors the load and disconnects from the battery should an overload or short circuit occur. The overload current protection eliminates the need for fuses or circuit breakers for the DC load.
TESTING
Luminaire includes manual test button for manual verification the transfer circuit and battery operate correctly. Luminaire also performs self-tests and diagnostics on battery, charging board, transfer circuit, and exit sign.
If a failure is detected, an indicator LED will blink red until fault is corrected. A solid green indicator LED indicates no faults and blinked green indicates a test is in progress.
COLD WEATHER OPTION
Exit sign can be used in cold weather locations with heating pad accessory, must specify -CC suffix. When exit sign reaches a low temperature a heating pad will keep the battery within operating temperature, allowing the exit sign to work in temperatures down to -25°C.

Factory Service and Repairs
If problems arise while the equipment is being installed, consult this manual and check that the installation is being carried out properly. If the problems still cannot be solved, call the AEV SERVICE Department for further information. If the problem is a minor one we can a telephone call will probably suffice. If, on the other hand, the equipment is to be shipped to AEV for service or repairs. We also recommend providing a detailed description of the fault which has occurred, the type of service needed and (if required) the name of the employee at the AEV SERVICE Dept. you have spoken to. No repairs will be made if the cost of shipment is charged to AEV. In this case, we will not accept the delivery.
Shipping Instruction
When shipping the equipment to AEV Broadcast, use the original package in order to be certain that it will be fully protected during handling. If you need the original package, call us for a new one. If you ship the equipment in a different packing container, take care to provide a double package by interposing padding material between the two containers in order to fully protect the equipment during shipment. The package should be marked "FRAGILE" in red.
Remember that the RMA number must be clearly visible on the package. If it is not, the equipment will not be accepted.

General Overview
The ON AIR LIGHT is a device to apply bright instant-start flag (Model AEV-0229010003) or wall (AEV-0229010002) to inside or external studies broadcasting and recording, the device can, however be used for any situation requiring a visual signal. The design of the device makes it extremely easy to install, and its sleek design it different from other similar devices. The light that displays the sign is ruby red in color, highly effective and strong visibility, even in brightly lit environments. Generally used to indicate to the operators, the zone of silence for the opening of the microphones in the studio or in the presence of speaker in transmission.
Connections

Iolite multiple recessed family consist of one to three independently adjustable heads, variety of beam distributions and multiple reflector options. Iolite multiple series is a perfect solution for most retail, hospitality and commercial applications.

SPECIFICATION
Housing: 0.0475" Galvanized steel housing with quick connects from each driver for ease of installation. Housing accepts standard ceiling thickness up to 1-1/2" may vary depending on ceiling type (up to 1" ceiling thickness when used with NMIO-W).
Clearance: “IC ” Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated; no minimum clearance is required. Not to be used in direct contact with spray foam insulation.
Bar Hangers: Two 13- 7/8" to 25" adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included with the housing. Bar hangers are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90˚ perpendicular to junction box if desired. “L”-shaped bar hanger foot to align to bottom of construction joist. A T-bar notch allows for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.
Junction Box: Pre-wired 40 cubic inch 0.0475" thick galvanized steel, with six 1/2 " knockouts. Leads are #18AWG wire. Maximum of 8 no. 12 AWG through branch circuit conductors suitable for at least 90°C permitted in junction box (max. of 4 with wall wash trims).
Trimless: Mud plate mounts inside Iolite Multiple Housing and screws into drywall to be flush. A professional drywall finisher floats the ceiling to blend in the mud plate, sands and paints. The trims are then inserted into the mud plate and the results are a spectacular, minimalist appearance with no flange.

Field adjustable aircraft cables allow fixture to be mounted at an application appropriate height (up to OAH). The aircraft ceiling coupler can be connected to the power drop canopy or can be separated from the power drop canopy to gain flexibility in mounting. See Downloads on website for mounting center measurements. Aircraft cable suspension uses ceiling coupler to mount to structure above. Coupler accepts 1/4-20 threaded rod or can be anchored using through hole (hardware by others). The 3" Prime Downlight is a small aperture fixture with a super shallow housing height of 2½", which is ideal for residential and commercial applications. Available options include die-cast or spun aluminum trims, various temperatures, optics, and dimmable drivers.
LED ENGINE
LED engine available with CREE LEDs in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K in standard 90+ CRI. 2-step MacAdam ellipse allows for color consistency between fixtures. The LED is mounted to an aluminum heat sink for maximum life output and thermal management. LED engine is accessible from below the ceiling.
FRAME CONSTRUCTION
IC-rated super shallow housing is constructed from a 16-gauge heavy-duty, powder-coated cold-rolled steel frame and includes a junction box with ½" knockouts. Butterfly brackets (included) accommodate adjustable bar hanger (order separately).

INTENDED USE — The EPANL Series LED Edge-Lit Flat Panel provides a fully luminous appearance across the face of the lens. This provides a soft, glare-free solution that is visually comfortable within the space. Suitable for many lighting applications including schools, offices and other commercial spaces, retail, convenience stores, hospitals and healthcare facilities. CONSTRUCTION — This edgelit platform was built to last with an aluminum frame for strength and durability, the seamless frame prevents light leak in the corners. The PMMA light guide plate and lens resists yellowing and transmits light with superior efficacy. The satin white lens provides excellent shielding and fully luminous appearance. EPANL's low-profile design provides increased installation flexibility especially in restricted plenum spaces. The back plate includes integral T-bar clips for installation into 15/16" or 9/16" T-grid ceilings. Fixture may be recessed, suspended, surface box mounted or mounted in a hard-ceiling see accessories section for more information.
Integrated Sensor (nLight Wired Networking): This sensor is nLight-enabled, meaning it has the ability to communicate over an nLight network. When wired, using CAT-5 cabling, with other nLight-enabled sensors, power packs, or WallPods, an nLight control zone is created. Once linked to a Gateway, directly or via a Bridge, the zone becomes capable of remote status monitoring and control via SensorView software.
Integrated Smart Sensor (nLight Air Wireless Platform): The RES7 sensor is nLight AIR enabled, meaning it has the ability to communicate over the wireless nLight control platform. It is available with an automatic dimming photocell, and either a digital PIR or a microphonics (PDT) dual technology occupancy sensor. It pairs to other luminaires and wall switches through our mobile app, CL AIRITY+, which allows for simple sensor adjustment.
ELECTRICAL — Long-life LEDs, coupled with a high-efficiency driver, provide superior illumination for extended service life. See page 3 for detailed lumen maintenance information. 0-10V dimming driver, dims to 1% or 10% and contains non-isolated dimming leads.
