· A-Frame halfway house was touched up with new equipment, bathroom refresh and appliances to help us serve you more efficiently on the golf course
· 150 new members have joined the club
· Added a new specialty food menu at the Snack Shop at the pool, and purchased a new robotic pool cleaner to help keep the pool during the closed hours
Once again, we’re very happy, that you’re a member here at Medina CC and our leadership team has worked hard to make a difference for all our members and guests during our first full season. We’re extremely excited to continue the progress and momentum leading into the off season and 2023 as we plan for the next golf season and beyond. · Designed an exciting new Medina CC logo for member pride and added new merchandise throughout the Golfshop which has been very successful
· Replaced our old gas golf carts with EZ GO electric cars with the lithium batteries which are quieter and more efficient
· Moved the Golfshop back down to the original location for better service and operations close to the 1st & 10th tees.

· Built a brand new 8000 square foot maintenance barn for equipment and supply storage
· Increased our wine selections and added many new drink choices throughout the club including the pool area

· Continued Aerification of greens, tees, and fairways for improved course conditions throughout the course
Dear Members:
· In the kitchen we installed new LED lighting, added some necessary equipment, and revamped the menus for better selection for our members
· New Range tee equipment including range crates, bag stands and club cleaners
· Invested over $800,000 in new equipment for the golf course, including mowers, tractors, and other vehicles etc. to help keep the course in better shape going forward
· Added the new Signature 500 series bunker sand to the existing bunkers for better playability on the Championship 18
· A large tree removal program throughout the entire property getting prepared for the redesign of both the Red 9 and Championship 18, along with the building of the world class Jim Wise Golf Academy
· This summers Men’s Invitational was a huge success and will be even better next year, and the Professional Staff will review all golf events going forward for 2023.
It’s certainly amazing how time flies and really hard to believe that’s it’s been a full year now that the Cosgrove family acquired the Medina Country Club in August of last year. I wanted to highlight and review some of the accomplishments the club has made since last August when the Cosgrove family took over.

This month we are looking forward to a couple fun events! Wing Wednesday, Taco Tuesday and Italian night have been so popular we are bringing them back! Check the calendar for the dates! Reservations are always encouraged. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Stephanie Anaya Clubhouse Manager updates
As you can tell if you have been at the club these past weeks, groundbreaking has begun for the new driving range and training center! Private golf lessons will continue through the winter in the hitting studio (where the Pro Shop used to be).
Team Medina Union qualified by placing second on the Region 4 Leaderboard for Play Day scores throughout the Medinaseason.
September will start off very exciting for the Jim Wise Golf Academy.

Three of our PGA Junior League teams will be representing Medina CC at the Region 4 Championship. We are the only location in the Region to send multiple teams. The Region includes, Northern Ohio, Southern Ohio, Michigan, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, & Western Maryland). We are also the only location to have the Sectional Champion in both the 13U and 17U PGA Junior Leagues
17U team qualified by winning the Northern Ohio Section PGA Junior League 17U Championship August 13-14 at Eagle Creek Golf Course. The Region 4 Championship tournament will be held at Milham Park Golf Course in Kalamazoo Michigan on September 2nd through the 4th. For the 17U team, this will be the culmination of their season. For the 13U teams, the winner of the Regional Championship will go on to compete in the National Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, Oct. 6-9, which will be broadcast live on select ESPN networks.

You may have noticed the tree removal during your rounds. Removing some of these trees has really opened up beautiful views and have helped showcase some of the beautiful features of the property that our course sits on. It also helps the overall health of the turf by allowing for more sunlight and proper air flow throughout the course. This is apart of phase one of the capital improvement project for Medina.

It’s hard to believe that we have already reached September, Fall and Football season will be here before we know it! With that being said, this summer has been very exciting in more ways than one. The tournament season has been fantastic, and your participation make the events great. We have a few major events left on the 2022 Schedule, the NFL Scramble, Ladies Guest Day, and the Medina Cup Member-Member. You can register for all events through the Golf Genius portal on the Medina Country Club website. Also, congratulations to all of our Club Champions, it was a great event and thank you for your participation.

All play will start at 8:30AM on Weekdays and 8:00AM on Weekends. Following Labor Day, the club will be closed on Mondays. We are aerifying greens on September 12th and fairways on September 20th.
