A LETTER from Rob P. Now that summer is finally here, the entire club staff is ready to welcome everyone back! The changing of the seasons brings with it renewed life and excitement. The course is in great shape, the pool is open and Dave Hershey, our Greens Superintendent, has been working hard to get the golf course ready for the busy summer season. Mother Nature has not been very kind this Spring, but Dave and his Grounds Crew have done a fantastic job in prepping the golf course and club grounds. Dave is excited to utilize the brand-new equipment purchased this year to help better groom the golf course, and his crew is working hard to make sure our members and guests play a world-class course every day.

Kirby Manown, our Head Golf Professional, and Rob Jersan, our Assistant Golf Professional, have organized the calendar with many events for Men, Women, Couples and Children alike. Our goal this year is to fill the calendar with events that help you create memories with your family and friends. Make sure you come visit the newly renovated Golf Shop and check out our new Media Country Club apparel! Kirby and Rob are excited to treat members to first-class service on the golf course and in the Golf Shop. Stephanie Anaya, our Clubhouse Manager, has been very busy hiring and training new staff, along with planning and executing clubhouse and pool events. We have brought in a new assortment of Wines, Bourbons, Beers and Seltzers for our members to enjoy over the summer months. The Snack Shop at the pool is also ready with beverages, candy and ice cream. Stay tuned for the new Tiki Bar coming soon! Stephanie has brought in live entertainment each Friday Night until October and is excited to ensure that the membership enjoys exceptional food and

beverage service every time you’re at the club. Rick Fagert, our Executive Chef, has launched the new summer menu with some additions like the Varsity Club sandwich, The Horseman Ribeye and the Billy Smith Pork Chops. We all look forward to the new and fresh tastes coming from the kitchen this summer. Ann Yensenko, Accounting, has diligently worked to put our finances and accounting in good order. We’re excited to have launched Link2Pay (ACH) and updated credit card billing under the guidance of Keisha Johnson, and we will continue to improve the billing implementation and processes to make all transactions smoother for our members. Jim Wise, Theresa Wise and their staff over at the Golf Academy have been very busy with Junior Golf Clinics, PGA Junior League, Ladies Golf Clinics, High School Development League and Couples Clinics to name a few. Jim and Theresa continue to make an impact each day on and off the course with all their students. We’re very excited to finalize and break ground on the new Jim Wise Golf Academy in the very near future.

CLUBHOUSE updates Hello from the Medina Country Club Clubhouse! My name is Stephanie Anaya, the Clubhouse Manager. As a new team member at Medina County Club, I have enjoyed meeting the members and guests each day. If we haven't had the chance to meet, please feel free to stop by and say hello! I am excited to share some exciting announcements for July! We are featuring live music each Friday night from 5:30-8:30 P.M. There is a different musician each week to help kick-start your weekend! We have embraced the summer season and will be preparing new dinner features each Friday and Saturday night fresh off the grill! Each week we will include a fresh vegetable and starch to enhance the meal. Take a seat on the Clubhouse patio for a full view of the course while you grab a bite to eat! We have recently updated our menu here at the Clubhouse. Some popular items thus far have been the Horseman, our take on an amazing Ribeye steak ; the Varsity Club, a stacked-high sandwich (perfect after a long round of golf); the Atlantic Salmon, a hit at lunch or dinner; and a fresh Summer Salad with kale, a tasty and healthy option. Those are only a few examples, and we would love to hear your feedback as you navigate the menu! Our pool has opened and is waiting for you and your guests! We all know Ohio weather can be unpredictable, so get out and enjoy the sun while you can. Our staff is ready and waiting to serve you both food & cocktails on the pool deck. We also have a variety of sweets and snacks for the kids. Our pool is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am to 8pm and Sundays 11am-7pm. I look forward to what the rest of the summer holds here and want to thank you for choosing Medina Country Club!

SUMMER IS HERE

POOL HOURS Closed on Mondays Tuesday – Saturday: 11:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. Sunday 11:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

GUEST FEE A fee of $7.00 is charged for each guest brought to the pool.

POOL RULES • No person may use the pool unless a guard is on duty. • No running on the pool decks. • No pushing or throwing anyone in the pool. • No one on another person’s shoulders in the pool. • Be considerate; do not excessively splash or dunk anyone. Be careful when diving or jumping; be sure no persons are in your path. • No diving at the shallow end of the pool. The older and more experienced swimmers are requested to exercise caution in the shallow end where younger children are swimming. • Boisterous play, rough housing and profane language shall not be permitted. • No glass permitted anywhere on the pool deck. • Continued or flagrant violation of rules will be cause for suspension

First, I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during these crazy times. We finally have a kitchen staff that has diligently been training, learning and executing. Plans are already being made for the July 4th Shootout and Pool Party, and our showcase event, The Medina Invitational. Also, we are excited about our new menu which has something for everyone. LF ACADEMY The Jim Wise Golf Academy is in full swing at Medina Country Club, and we are very excited to be here. All of the programs offered this summer have been well attended. These include Junior Golf Clinics, High School Golf Development Clinics, Ladies Clinics, Couple’s Clinics, private lessons and a nationally renowned PGA Junior League (both 13U and 17U)! At the current numbers, we will have over 300 children involved in our junior golf programs! We thank all of the members who enrolled in one or more of these programs. We appreciate the support and hope that more of you will take advantage of these next year. You have already seen some changes to the course in preparation for the new practice area. Red holes 8 & 9 are now part of this area. Red 9 green is a practice putting green. Red 8 is a practice chipping green, and its fairway is now part of the driving range. We did this so that the current practice areas do not get overrun when we are conducting clinics and lessons. These areas are open to members any time there aren't any clinics or PGA Jr. League matches going on. The left side of hole 8 fairway is the only area reserved for lessons only. The right side of hole 8 fairway will be available for member use as a driving range unless it is too wet, or there is a clinic scheduled. Future plans for the Red course is to bring it back to a full 9-hole course. It is an exciting time, and we are just beginning!

July marks a very special month on the calendar! It is filled with many great events and club functions. The Firecracker and July 4th Shootout will make for a very exciting Independence Day weekend. The event filled month of July will be headlined by the 2022 Men’s Invitational. This is the Premier event of the season at Medina Country Club, and it will showcase the best that Medina has to offer. Please be sure to register for these great events, your participation makes them possible! Also, a huge thank you to all that have participated in all events this far.
