The Thai economy's slowdown and household debt reduced domestic demand, affecting Japanese OEMs' production. Isuzu and Toyota sales declined, but Ford's sales were 11% above budget and 20% better than last year.
In the 2W segment, sales were 4% above budget but 6% lower than in 2023.
2024OUTLOOK
4W : 5% below budget (Isuzu -53M THB, Toyota -7M THB, Ford +11M THB). 2W: 4% above budget (Thai Honda and Honda Trading Asia up 23M THB). Vietnam exports are expected to recover, with Honda Vietnam exceeding budget by 10M THB.
