Swap Meet at Mineral Beach September 28 Mon Valley A.B.A.T.E. presents a “Swap Meet” at Mineral Beach, Finleyville on Saturday, September 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorcycle, car, truck, leathers and accessories, tools, equipment, etc. Admission cost is $5 per person, or $25 for vendors. 24th Annual St. Thomas More Arts/Crafts Fair Set for October 5 The 24th Annual St. Thomas More Arts/Crafts Fair will take place October 5 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The event will take place on the church grounds in Bethel Park, across from South Hills Village. Over 55 vendors offering a wide variety of art including jewelry, wood, holiday items, and homemade candy just in time for Halloween. Also featuring homemade soups from our kitchen - available for take-out. For more information, call 412-254-3595.

Beauty Runs in the Family! New Eagle Aunt and Niece Win in Pageantry Tiffany Forlai of New Eagle and her niece, Candace Schnore, were both crowned Grand Supreme at the Heavenly Angels and Storybook Pageant held in June at the Holiday Inn in Moon Township. Candace also received an award for overall most beautiful for facial beauty ages 5-10. She won jungle wear in her 10-11 year-old age division. Tiffany also won photogenic, jungle wear, and overall grand composite. In Harrisburg on July 6 Tiffany was also crowned Pro-Supreme in the National America's Best Theme Pageant. Tiffany is a pharmaceutical sales rep for Forest Pharmaceuticals. Candace, daughter of Chad Forlai of New Eagle and Stephanie Schnore, will attends 5th grade at Ringgold Elementary School North. She is a Ringgold Rams cheerleader.
