Sweeney’s Steak House Hosts Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Remodeling
A
ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held at Sweeney’s Steak House, 1713 Rostraver Rd., Belle Vernon to celebrate the complete remodel of the restaurant, the hiring of a new executive chef and to launch updated restaurant and banquet menus. Chef Demetrise Edwards, previously the banquet chef at Nemacolin Woodlands, will run the kitchen at Sweeney’s Steak House while overseeing two other Hardy-owned restaurants, King of the Hill in Bentleyville and 30 East Main in Uniontown. The new menu at Sweeney’s Steak House will feature creative, updated selections, while maintaining signature items, like the Sweeney Special. In addition to lunch and dinner, Sweeney’s offers private parties and banquets, entertainment and seasonal patio seating. For more information, call 724-929-8383.

Mon Valley Community Night to be Held at Consol Energy Park Come join The Mon Valley YMCA and Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce at "Mon Valley Community Night" at Consol Energy Park, where the Washington Wild Things take on the Florence Freedom on Wednesday, June 20. Coach bus pickup will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber Plaza, Charleroi. Cost for bus and reserved ticket is $20/person; reserved ticket only is $10/person. Reserved seating is in Section 208 - behind home plate. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Pre-registration must be made at the Mon Valley YMCAs Business Office or by calling 724-483-8077.
