Miracle League of the South Hills Announces New Director of Operations

The Miracle League of the South Hills has announced that Lisa Carlisle will be taking over as the new Director of Operations. Lisa has volunteered at the Miracle League of the South Hills since the fall season of the very first year (2012). She started out as a Buddy for the Mets, then became a coach for the Cubs, and for the past several years has coached both the Cubs and the Athletics. She has been seen helping out with special events such as the Miracle Bash, the Sean Casey Golf Classic, the Next Inning and the MLSH travel teams. She enjoys spending her time with the athletes, families and volunteers at the Miracle League of the South Hills.

Lisa will be taking on Miranda Klein’s role as the main point of contact for our athletes, families, and volunteers. As the Director of Operations, she will have an integral role in elevating our current programs while continuing to grow the game of baseball for the best athletes in the country. She will also be involved in implementing new programming beginning in 2024.

Lisa is from Hickory, PA in Washington County. She graduated from Fort Cherry High School and got her B.S. in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University. She taught 2nd grade for 13 years mainly in Nokesville, VA. She then moved back to PA and became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She worked in many elementary schools throughout Allegheny County until just recently.

Peters Township Chamber of Commerce Begins Search for New Executive Director

The board of directors of the Peters Township Chamber recently announced that Executive Director Brian Schill has voluntarily decided to step down as Executive Director effective June 14, 2023.

The board would like to thank Brian for all his years of service. He was able to rescue the organization when prior Executive Director, Carol Foley, suddenly passed away. Brian was able to grow the Chamber and make it one of the top 15 Chamber of Commerce’s in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The board of directors of the Peters Township Chamber has selected a steering committee to begin the search for a new Executive Director. Ideally, a new Executive Director would be in place prior to the end of the year. Amy Petro has been named as Interim Executive Director, while a thorough search for a new director is conducted. Both Amy Petro and Kelly Caldwell will continue to staff and support the day-to-day Operations of the Chamber.

The Peters Township Chamber of Commerce has been in existence for nearly 70 years. They serve the Southern Allegheny and Northern Washington County markets and is headquartered in Peters Township.
