SPRING BOOK SALE - The Friends of South Park Township Library will be holding their Spring Book Sale, from Thursday, April 20 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, April 21 from 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. and Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., the ever-popular “$5.00 a Bag Day” when your “Friends” provide the bag for you to fill with anything you find at the sale. The sale will be held in the South Park Township Community Center. A large variety of books will be available, old records, albums, books on tape, audio music tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, video tapes, video games, Blue Ray, audio/video material, computer and electronic games and programs, games, puzzles, toys and stuffed animals. SPRING TEA - The First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon will hold their 2nd Annual ‘Spring Tea’ on Saturday April 22, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the Monessen VFD Social Hall located at 15 Eastgate Ave. in Monessen. This is an event to celebrate women getting together with one another and their friends, sisters, mothers, grandmothers and daughters. All are welcome.
Food, goodies, door prizes, music and a basket chance auction will be provided. Tickets are $15 each. To reserve or purchase tickets call 724929-7616. All proceeds to benefit the ministries of the church.

PEPPERONI ROLL SALE - Mon Valley Paws will also sponsor a Pepperoni Roll sale on Saturday April 22, at 10:00 AM at Bart's Service Center on Grand Blvd in Monessen. Cost of the rolls are $4 each. Preorders can be placed by calling 724493-8305 and can be picked up at Bart's Service Center.

MONTE CARLO NIGHT - The Kiwanis Club of Baldwin will hold their 47th Annual Monte Carlo Night on Saturday, April 22 from 6:00PM10:00PM. This exciting event will be held at Skyview Volunteer Fire Hall, 660 Noble Dr. in West Mifflin. Guests will enjoy dinner, horse races, door prizes, 50/50 raffle, instant bingo, basket auction, and more! Tickets may be purchased online at www.baldwinpakiwanis.org. Tickets are $35/person and includes dinner, snacks, soft drinks, and beer. Race Horses can also be purchased online for $10 each. Proceeds benefit community activities in the Pittsburgh area and the club’s general operating fund. Event is for ages 21 and older. Tickets will not be sold at the event.

CLEMENTE - The West Jefferson Hills Historical Society is excited to announce that for its April program, Gary Euler, docent at Lawrenceville’s Clemente Museum, will present an inspirational program about the life of Hall of Fame Pirate outfielder and humanitarian, Roberto Clemente. The presentation, which takes place at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 25 in the Community Rooms of the Jefferson Hills Borough Building. Attendees will hear about Clemente’s exceptional baseball career, the racial and language barriers he experienced on and off the field, Both society and community members are invited to attend this free program which is guaranteed to deliver an inspiring experience.

THE CLOTHES 4 U MINISTRYBelle Vernon First United Methodist Church, 200 State Street, will be open to the public April 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. We are in special need of children's and men's clothing. But all donations of gently used clothing are appreciated. We are strictly donations in and donations out. We do not charge for our clothing.

CLAIRTON/JEFFERSON HILLS AREA AARP MEETING - Clairton/ Jefferson Hills Area AARP Chapter #1612 will meet on April 26 at the Jefferson Hills Municipal Building located at 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA. Guests are welcome. Donuts and coffee are available at 9:30am followed by a brief meeting. All meetings end on a high note with entertainment by local performers. Entertainment for our April meeting is local vocalist, Jerry DeMaria performing songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean

HAM DINNER AND BASKET RAFFLE - The Presbyterian Church of Charleroi will be sponsoring their famous Ham Dinner on Saturday, April 29 from 3:00PM – 6:30PM. This year’s dinner will be take-out only. Cost for the dinner is $15 and includes ham, potatoes, corn, applesauce, coleslaw and dessert. Raffle baskets will also be available.
