Thomas Jefferson High School’s “Legally Blonde” Earns Best Musical, Total of Five Honors at Gene Kelly Awards Thomas Jefferson High School’s “Legally Blonde: The Musical” won five of the seven awards it was nominated for, including its first ‘Best Musical’ recognition, in the 31st Annual Pittsburgh CLO Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater.

Thomas Jefferson’s Legally Blonde was one of two finalists for Best Musical in Budget Level III, competing against North Hills’ production of Once Upon a Mattress for the top honor. In addition to Best Musical, TJ’s Legally Blonde also won Best Scenic Design, Best Vocal Ensemble, Best Dance Ensemble and Best Crew/Technical Execution in its budget level.

2022 ‘Rotary Regatta on the Yough’ Set For August 28 The Belle Vernon Rotary Club is planning its 2022 ‘Rotary Regatta on the Yough’ for Sunday, August 28, 2022. This is the 2nd annual event that is an expanded version of last year’s event. The Regatta, slated for 11:00AM to 4:00PM, will be held at the boat launch area of Cedar Creek. A Paddle Parade to be held in the river adjacent to the event site will encourage participants to dress up their water craft (canoe, kayak, SUP or inflatable) to the best of their imagination and compete for a prizes.

Also new this year is the Kids Zone, designed for kids age 12 and under, sponsored and directed by local childcare center LIVE, LAUGH, PLAY, LEARN of Belle Vernon. In addition to a 600 Duckie Derby Race, local businesses will sponsor super sized rubber ducks in their own Great Company Duck Race. Food trucks Hog Father’s and Ice Cream Kids will be on site, along with music, raffles and more. Co-chairs Deb Keefer and Tom Yoder and their committee are now seeking sponsors and encourage area businesses to support this major Rotary fund raising effort. The Club funds several scholarships to Belle Vernon and Frazier students, and supports food banks, veteran’s projects, beautification efforts, families in need and more. The Monongahela Youth Main Street Program, AKA “M.y. Main St,” will holding its 4th annual “Railroad – Street Fair” on Monday, July 4, from 6:00PM – 9:00PM, in the 200 block of Third Street in Monongahela (between Sweets by Mrs. C Ice Cream Shop and PNC Bank). This an event put on by youth, for local young people and their families and friends. There will be many booths and displays, including food, buttons, books, and handicrafts such as handmade jewelry and purses. The Rivers of Steel Arts program will provide a muralist to paint a graffitistyle mural during the event, as a backdrop to the other activities.

The immensely popular and outrageously loud “Great American Horn Machine” will return for its third appearance. The machine, a completely unique invention of local resident Dana Dolfi, is made from antique fog horns from local mills and factories as well as from boats of all sizes. It plays a wide range of music and can be heard from miles away. In fact, it is so loud it will have to move away from the Street Fair location to be played to keep from damaging the hearing of Street Fair attendees and nearby residents.

Food will include: gyros, halushki and other Eastern European specialties by St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, pulled pork wraps on homemade flatbread by the Ginger

Hill Grange, pizza by Detorre’s, baked goods and hot dogs by Sambol’s Bakery, and coffee and other beverages by Little City Coffee.

Popular performing artist Brandon Payne will provide the music. We are expecting to have some antique cars on display from the Bona Fide Car Club. The local girl scouts, boy scouts, and other youth organizations will be playing a part in making it all happen.

The popular downtown basket raffle will also be returning. This is an idea developed by the local youth to show off all the different kinds of merchandise a shopper can find in our Downtown business district.

Please patronize the raffle by looking over all the baskets and other donations, buying some tickets, and placing them with the items you would most like to win.

The event occurs shortly before the huge Fourth of July Fireworks put on by the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce, with the fireworks beginning at 9:45. This beautiful fireworks display, the best in any small town south of Pittsburgh, draws between 5,000 and 10,000 spectators to the town each summer. The Chamber of Commerce also typically has food and other booths at the upper deck of the Aquatorium as the crowd begins to gather in that location.

Author to Discuss Bigfoot, U.F.O.’s in West Newton The West Newton Library will host author Stan Gordon on July 30 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the West Newton Lion's Fieldhouse, located at 511 Pittsburgh St., West Newton, Pa Admission is free, (free will offering accepted). The 9th annual Belle Vernon and North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept’s Block Party will be held this year on July 16.

The day will kick off with a bike run with registration at the NBV Fire Station with registration beginning at 10:00AM. The car show will then follow with registration at 12:00 noon by Ferguson Funeral Home. Plaques will be given out. DJ Esh will be playing during the day and food trucks and vendors will have their wares for sale on Broad Avenue which will be closed to traffic but the merchants will still be open for business!

A Chinese Auction will also be going on during the day with two wheelbarrows filled with spirits among others to bid on. The bands begin playing at 4:00PM this year Dirty Sanchez takes the stage first followed up by Bad Mother Trucker. The car show judging will then take place at 7:00PM. New this year are face painting from 4:00PM – 6:00PM for $1. Also new is the Lucky Mini Rubber Ducky Throw sponsored by Ferguson Funeral Home.

JULY 3 WARRIORS ROCK’ TRIBUTE CONCERT - The musical tribute show ‘Warriors Rock’ will take the stage on Sunday, July 3 at the Monongahela Aquatorium. Gates open at 6:00PM and the concert begins at 7:00PM. Warriors Rock is a musical tribute concert starring Veterans and was created as a community event with the vision of a national concert tour that would have a grassroots touch in every city that the show is performed in. For this concert on July 3 in Monongahela, tickets purchased at the gate will be $10 per person, FREE for veterans & children ages 6 and under! Ticket proceeds will benefit a local Mon Valley Veterans service organization and the Monongahela Historical Society.

SOUTH HILLS COIN CLUB - The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held Tuesday evening July 12, 2022 at 7:30 PM at

West Jefferson Hills SD Donates Instruments to Assist Duquesne City SD Resume Music Program

The West Jefferson Hills School District has donated a variety of musical instruments to student musicians in the Duquesne City School District. The instruments were donated by the Thomas Jefferson High School Marching Band.

Several senior members of the TJ Band helped deliver the instruments to Duquesne City seventh grade students on Wednesday. Duquesne City has students who are pre-K through seventh grade and is re-starting its middle school music program. Eighth grade students will be returning to Duquesne City in the fall.

Thirteen different musical instruments were donated; including one or two of the following instruments: Yamaha Marching Bass Drum w/harness and case; Yamaha Quad Drums w/harness and case; Yamaha Snare Drums w/harnesses and cases; Yamaha Flute; DeFord Flute; Armstrong Clarinet; Vito Clarinet; Conn Sousaphone; Conn Baritone; King Baritone; King Bb Flugelbones (marching trombone); King

Concert Tuba; King Trumpet.

“On behalf of Duquesne, I want to thank the West Jefferson Hills School District for their generous donation of instruments to the students of Duquesne City,” said Dr. Sue A. Mariani, Superintendent of the Duquesne City School District. “We are humbled by their generosity as we are at the beginning of rebuilding our music program. This donation will help get instruments into our students’ hands which will hopefully begin not only a love of music, but an avenue of learning that hasn't been offered in Duquesne for more than a decade.”

“Music is important for growth and development for young people,” stated Kimberley Finnerty, President of the West Jefferson Hills Board of School Directors.

“Music is an outlet for so many people and good for your overall health and well-being. I think it’s amazing to share opportunities for all students and important to engage and partner with other communities.”

The Toast To Our Stars Club, Inc. of North Charleroi recently hosted its 72nd Annual Achievement Awards Banquet at Lock #4 Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall.

Founded in 1951 by a group of civic minded residents, the organization promotes and recognizes the participation, achievements and success of high school students from the community in academics, athletics and the arts.

Local educator and historian Stephen V. Russell was this year’s guest speaker and delivered an inspiring address entitled “The American Spirit” to the family, friends and supporters of the honorees.

She will major in biology/pre-med at the College of Wooster, OH and plans on going to dental school to pursue a career as an orthodontist. She is the daughter of Stacie Pordash.

Outstanding Student – Noah Dagger Noah is enrolled in the Honors Curriculum at Charleroi High School and is ranked #9 in his class with a 4.0 GPA. Noah is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and enjoys playing the piano. He will enroll at West Virginia University and will pursue a degree in zoology and plans on becoming a Veterinarian. He is the son of Jeremy and Stephanie Dagger.

Outstanding Athlete - Chloe Pordash Chloe was a 4-year member and 3-year starter at guard for the Serra Catholic Girls Basketball Team. As a senior, she averaged 15.9 PPG. and lead the Eagles to an overall 21-3 record including a Section 2A title and trips to the WPIAL and PIAA Playoffs. Her many honors included WPIAL 2A/Section 2 All-Section Team selection as a Junior and Senior, 2022 Roundball Classic Girls 2A/District 6 All-Star, 2022 Pittsburgh PostGazette WPIAL Class 2A Fab 5 Team, 2021 & 2022 Mon Valley Independent-BeeGraphix Super 6 First Team All-Star and 2022 Fab14 Conference 2A/Section 2 1st Team. Peters Creek Historical Society Will Host a Tea Party Brunch The Peters Creek Historical Society will host a Tea Party Brunch at the Enoch Wright House, 815 Venetia Road, Venetia on Saturday, July 9. Enoch Wright House Tours Docents will be giving tours of the ca 1815 Enoch Wright House on Sunday, July 10, 2pm-4 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 6pm-8pm and Sunday, July 24, 2pm-4pm. Visitors will be taken through the house and learn about the pioneer Wright Family whose first dwelling was akin to the log cabin brought on site. The Enoch Wright House was placed on the State and National Register of Historic Sites in 2007.

SWPA REGISTERED NURSES CLUB AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS, ELECTS NEW OFFICERS The SWPA RN Club installed officers for 2022-2023 at their May 10 luncheon. Officers are President - Mary O’Connor, Treasurer - Stephanie Gardiner, Recording Secretary - Carol Wind and Corresponding Secretary is Patty Moore. The Club awarded four scholarships in May. The criteria is based on academic standing, merit and need. Applicants official home of residence must be in one of the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland. An applicant must be entering his or her senior year in a diploma, associate degree, bachelor degree program or final semester of a graduate nursing program.

The annual scholarship Fall fundraiser was cancelled due to Covid regulations.

Monessen Community Day Returns at Kennywood After a 2 year hiatus, the Monessen Community Picnic will return to Kennywood Park. A new organization is sponsoring this year's picnic. The Monessen Community Development Corporation (MCDC) will manage the event, and the group has discounted tickets available for anyone who is interested in purchasing one. After two years of cancellations due to COVID, members of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (GCFP) District X were able to hold their June Fundraiser at Valley Brook Country Club. Angie Raitano, former President of the GCFP, put together a wonderful hour of entertainment for the 78 members who attended the event.

The designs, inspired by the music of Elvis Presley, were created by the District’s very talented Flower Show Judges with each creating floral designs representing seven of Elvis’ songs.

Judges presenting their designs were ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ created by Diane Hughes, Sue Luisi, Mary Jane Angie Raitano of Charleroi Martucci, Marie Mueller, Angie Raitano, Vina McLeod Rudolph, and District member Wanda Sherry.

A very special member, posing as Elvis, added comments about Elvis’ life and the designs. Elvis presented a scarf to each designer as he left the building.

The musical tribute show ‘Warriors Rock’ will take the stage on Sunday, July 3 at the Monongahela Aquatorium. Gates open at 6:00PM and the concert begins at 7:00PM. Warriors Rock is a musical tribute concert starring Veterans and was created as a community event with the vision of a national concert tour that would have a grassroots touch in every city that the show is performed in. 2022 is proving to be the transitional year for this highly rated, coveted event that has people wanting it to be brought to their town!

Warriors Rock was created in 2013 by Kim & Gary Racan (who are accomplished in the private events industry with Gary’s studio e band) in honor of their Fathers who were both Veterans.

A local veteran with Mon Valley ties and first from the Iraq War was tapped as Commander during the 2022 Department of Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary Convention.

West Mifflin resident Henry R. Mannella was elevated to VFW Department of PA State Commander. He won election June 11 at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center in Lancaster, Pa. “I’m grateful and honored that I’ve been given this opportunity,” said Mannella. “Pennsylvania has always honored those who’ve served in uniform, and the VFW here has been in the forefront in caring for our country’s veterans.”

While in the Army, Mannella deployed with the 107th Field Artillery Regiment, 28th Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has held a variety of successive officer positions at his home post and through the state level. Most recently, he served as the VFW Department of PA Senior Vice Commander. He has also organized a number of VFW events for fellow Mon Valley veterans, such as a Veterans Information Fair at the United Steelworkers Local 2227 Hall, West Mifflin, Pa., in 2019.

Mannella said that he intends to continue to reach out to fellow veterans – just as those in the VFW helped him and his family after his tour in Iraq.

“I will encourage members of the VFW to be more active in contacting all veterans who’ve served,” he said. “We need to get the word out that we are an organization that promotes youth and scholarship programs, vocational and medical benefits, pensions, and a variety of other services that young veterans and their families should be using to help make the adjustment to civilian life easier.”

This one honors Stan Musial, one of Donora's favorite native sons. (The two other historical markers commemorate "1948 Donora Smog" and "Cement City.")

Born to Mary and Lukasz Musial in Donora Nov. 21, 1920, Stan lived on Sixth Street with his family while growing up. A 1939 graduate of Donora High School, he excelled in both basketball and baseball, and when it was time to choose a career, he Donora Native and baseball chose baseball. The St. Louis Cardinals great, Stan Musial will have a signed him as a pitcher, but arm trouble plaque dedication on July 30 caused him to switch to playing outfield and first base, where he became an All Star and member of the Hall of Fame. Yet despite his success, Musial remained connected to Donora, and the citizens are proud to honor both an international sports celebrity and a man of exemplary character.

For the PHMC to recognize an individual for an historical marker, the person not only needs to have had outstanding qualifications, but also must have been deceased for at least five years. When Musial died in 2013, the Historical Society decided to submit an application, and received notification in March 2021 that the nomination had been accepted. However, while the PHMC approves the applications and casts the plaque, the organization does not pay for it.

The next step for the Historical Society was to conduct a fundraising drive to raise the $2,150 needed to have the plaque cast. All money was raised through donations by individual donors and a few corporations. The plaque will be blessed by Fr. Kevin Dominik of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church of the Mid-Mon Valley (Donora) on July 30 at 12:00 noon, 600 Meldon Ave. (at Sixth St.). The plaque will then be unveiled and dedicated with comments offered by the Donora Historical Society; the PHMC; Donora native Wayne Stewart, who wrote the book Stan the Man – The Life and Times of Stan Musial; and the Musial family. Musial was born about three blocks away from the site of the dedication, halfway up the hill on Sixth.

Other weekend events include a nighttime gathering Friday, July 29, and presentations and storytelling Saturday morning. Following the dedication, a reception will take place at the Donora Borough Building Banquet Hall that will feature various authors who have written about Musial and/or the Musial family, or the history of Donora. The Youghiogheny Country Club (YCC) Women's Golf Association is comprised of two groups, the 18-Hole and 9-Hole organizations. The 9Hole membership consists of beginning golfers and ladies who prefer to play only nine holes of organized golf. The 18-Hole membership includes all other lady golfers and more seasoned players.

Ladies Golf Day is Thursday, but some special events are played on other days of the week. There are also Saturday tournaments and holiday events to accommodate working women golfers. If you would like to learn more, please call 412-751-2943.

School News...School News Dr. Janet Sardon Appointed West Jefferson Hills Superintendent of Schools The West Jefferson Hills Board of School Directors has appointed Dr. Janet Sardon as the new superintendent for the district with a unanimous vote during a special board meeting held in early June.

Dr. Sardon brings nearly 30 years of public education experience to the district. She is expected to begin her duties as superintendent by August 8, 2022, with a five-year contract through June 30, 2027.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Sardon home!” exclaimed Kimberley Finnerty, president of the WJH School Board. “The Board believes she possesses the characteristics and varied experiences that will enable her

to be a strong, progressive leader for our students, staff and community.

She has a tremendous breadth of knowledge about our district and is aware of our short-and long-term achievements and challenges.”

A long-time resident of the West Jefferson Hills School District and a Thomas Jefferson High School graduate, Dr. Sardon is an experienced educator with exemplary communication skills who will be an active, visible leader for students, parents, caregivers and the WJH community.

"As a lifelong student, resident and supporter of the West Jefferson Hills School District, I am excited about working collaboratively with the

school board, administration, staff, students, parents, community and businesses,” Dr. Sardon stated. “As an educational leader, I’m passionate about giving back to a district that has given me so much from childhood through adulthood. My goals and ambitions are to continue the tradition of excellence in providing superior educational opportunities for students, while preparing them to reach their dreams, goals and fullest potential, in whatever path their future may hold.”

Dr. Sardon has served as the superintendent of the Yough School District since 2011. Among her accomplishments as Yough superintendent have been fostering a positive, collaborative environment for all staff, implementing long-term strategic plans that encompass all areas of school district functions, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and creating the Yough Helpful Hands Committee, a team comprised of administration and community members that works to make a difference in the lives of others.

Yough was recognized by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as one of the region’s Top Workplaces for MidSized Companies from 2014-20 and again earlier this year.

Dr. Sardon served as superintendent of the West Mifflin School District for nearly two years prior to matriculating to Yough. She joined the West Mifflin administrative team as assistant superintendent in January 2007. Dr. Sardon began her career in education as a special education teacher in the South Allegheny SD, later serving as the district’s middle school dean of students, middle school principal and high school principal for four years. She then joined the McKeesport Area SD as Director

of Information Services and Technology Integration.

In 2021, Dr. Sardon was honored with the University of Pittsburgh’s Distinguished Pre K-12 Educator Award. She serves as Chairman of the Westmoreland County Health Consortium and is a board member with the Pennsylvania Association of Small and Rural Schools (PARSS). In 2018, she received the Dr. Jean Winsand Distinguished Women in Education Award. Dr. Sardon was an adjunct faculty member in the Robert Morris University Education Depart-ment for two years during her tenure at West Mifflin.

Dr. Sardon graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education.

She earned a master’s degree and doctorate in educational administration from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as secondary principal certificate and superintendent letter of eligibility.

Dr. Sardon resides in Jefferson Hills with her husband, Robert. Their daughter, Arionna, attended Gill Hall Elementary School, Pleasant Hills Middle School and graduated from TJHS. Dr. Sardon’s childhood home was on Old Clairton Road, where she lived with her parents, Jack and Donna Ward and sister, Paula. Dr. Sardon attended Pleasant Hills Elementary School and graduated from TJ.

Thomas Jefferson’s five awards were tied for second highest among all the Allegheny County high schools that were Gene Kelly Award nominees across four budget categories. The Westinghouse Arts Academy won six awards in Level I and Woodland Hills High School tied TJ with five honorees in Level IV. Additionally, TJ’s Rachael Parsons was a Gene Kelly Awards semifinalist for Best Actress and Hayden Krupp was a semifinalist for Best Supporting Actor.

Taylor Pastorius, a 2013 graduate of South Park High School, has graduated with high honors, with her Master of Social Work degree from California University. Once she obtains 3,000 hours of supervision, she will join her mom, Julie Pastorius, LCSW in her psychotherapy practice to provide mental health therapy to teens and adults!

Roger Valdiserri was inducted into the Mon Valley Sports Hall of Fame in 2009 on the recommendation of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer Joe Grata of Belle Vernon. Roger gave one of the most entertaining acceptance speeches I can recall of any inductee. Witty, knowledgeable and fluent he was a big hit at his induction banquet.

Valdiserri graduated in 1945 from North Belle Vernon High School and went on to the University of Notre Dame where he graduated in 1954. At Notre Dame as an undergraduate Roger worked in sports administration with coach Frank Leahy.

In 1966 Roger was named University of Notre Dame sports information director. He held that position for a distinguished thirty-three years. At one time Valdiserri was considered one of the most influential people in college football.

A: A cataract is the clouding of the natural lens within the eye. Virtually all of us will get cataracts as we age. Cataract formation is usually a gradual process and vision changes can be subtle. Local Worship Pillar of Faith Church Helps Community Through Programs at Dream Outreach Center

By Chasity Capasso Pastor Shawn Davis, Jr. started preaching on a tree stump in the middle of a field at his grandparents’ house in Morgantown as a kid. At just seven years old, he began giving his testimonies in churches around the Morgantown area, and at 13, he cofounded the Sandbank Apostolic Lighthouse Church with his grandfather. In 2014, Pastor Shawn began holding monthly services in the garage of his Morgantown home.

“I preached on that stump for about a year,” he said. “Believe it or not, people came from around the community for services. This all was at my grandparents house on Sandbank Road. The church I opened with my grandfather at 13 was Apostolic Lighthouse. It was originally opened in the 1970’s by my great-grandfather.

passing and sat vacant until it opened back up in 2006. It is still in operation today, ran by my grandfather.”

“We started just focusing on Donora and rented a couple locations, but in March 2020 the United Methodist Conference sold us the building in Fayette City for $1,” he explained. “We are forever grateful.”

One of the outreach programs held at Pillar of Faith is a weekly clothing drive, originally started when Charles and Anita Shickles saw a need in the Donora community and wanted to help.

“We believe the church should go beyond the four walls of the church.

Reaching souls is the church’s number one priority, however the church should do their best to meet physical needs as well,” said Charles Shickles.

“We came from a church in Rockford, Illinois, where they had a food pantry and a warming center where the homeless could get a meal, a place to stay for the night and coffee in the morning. We are happy that Pastor Shawn and his church is continuing the clothing giveaway, and we were glad to help get it started; saying a church loves people are only words unless it's backed up by action.” “[The Shickles] were actually min-

isters in our church,” said Pastor Shawn. “They attended Bible study and saw a burden for Donora but have since moved back home to Illinois to be with family. They are older now and wanted to be at home.”

Janice Trozzo-Bradley, a POF church member who lives in Fayette City, has been volunteering at the clothing drive for two years.

“I love giving back to the community and our ministry here is to help people in need,” she said. “We have clothes from newborn to adults, and it's all free. We don't judge or look down on anyone.”

“We started the weekly clothing center in August of 2020,” said Pastor Shawn. “We offer clothing for everyone. All of our donations just come from anyone who wants to donate.

We started it because we wanted to serve a need in the community. I saw that food was taken care of and so we chose clothing.”

The clothing center is open every Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and serves anywhere from 5 to 50 people in need.

“There are always people less fortunate than others and sometimes people can’t get the proper clothing for themselves and their children,” said Glaser, who has a two year old daughter.

“I was very surprised at the amount and quality of clothing and shoes available for my daughter,” Glaser said. “A lot of people have ups and downs, especially now during the inflation. The drive helped me get summer clothing and shoes for my daughter and some things for myself.

I am very thankful for this service.”

POF’s Dream Center also holds a free addiction program and grief class.

“Our addiction program is also free and is run by certified counselor Gib Szakal, Jr.,” Trozzo-Bradley said. “It’s a lending ear to help people get clean and stay clean. Every community is bad now with addiction and the rate of overdoses is growing. Gib offers help without judgment. Our grief class is held every other Wednesday to

Szakal, Jr. said having the addiction class is important because the need is here in the Valley for it.

“This is something that has been tearing apart families around here for a long time. There is no better feeling in the world then being there for someone in need. I just enjoy building those relationships ships with people, they know that when you accept them at their lowest of low points, it helps give them the confidence to know that people care. They do have a reason to change and get better. I just love meeting people right where they

“We started our Addiction Recovery services called “Clean Slate” in 2021,” said Pastor Shawn. “This has been my burden for a long time because addiction touches many lives.

I have worked in addiction recovery in the past and have seen the reward of it. Our grief recovery classes, “Healing From Grief,” started this year to serve those who are battling over the loss of a loved one. Most of the time addiction and grief go hand in hand.”

Pastor Shawn describes Pillar Of Faith as Apostolic Pentecostal in denomination, “however we have a little bit of everyone in our pews.”

Church services are held Sundays at 10:30 am at the main campus location, 376 Market Street in Clarksville and Sundays at 6 pm at the Mon Valley Campus in Fayette City. Both churches also go live on Facebook every Sunday.

“Pillar Of Faith is a diverse church,” said Pastor Shawn. “We offer worship services and youth classes on Sundays, and Bible studies throughout the week in addition to our multiple outreaches held at the Mon Valley location. We also offer transportation for all of our weekly services and events at both locations.”

Pastor Davis also has a “Ministry Center,” located in Nemacolin that serves as the church’s headquarters and will eventually house a youth camp and an event venue.

“We are always looking ahead,” he said. “I believe expansion is always on the horizon. I really have a burden now to help struggling churches ready to close their doors. We want to help revitalize they and bring them into our circle. We are currently working in Kingwood, WV to revitalize a 100 year old church. We want to do that in PA.
