TJ Senior Commits To Play Hoops for Chatham

Registration Forms for Entries Are Now Available

Thomas Jefferson High School senior, Ashley Guidone, named Grebb’s Summer League MVP, Ashley Guidone recently committed to continue her basketball career by playing for Chatham University. The 5’5” Guard announced her decision on Twitter. Although Guidone is missing her senior basketball season due to a torn hip labrum, she was still recruited by several Division II and III programs such as Hiram, SUNY Fredonia, Saint Vincent and Grove City. She was very pleased to receive an offer from Carlow University. Guidone is a High Honors student who enjoys volunteer coaching and giving back to her community. She plans on studying Exercise Science and looks forward to getting started with the Chatham Cougars.

Registrations forms for the Ninth Annual Art Show, hosted by the Friends of Clairton Library, are now available at the Clairton Library. Local artists are invited to enter their work. Paintings, photographs, fabric art, sculpture, and work in other media are all eligible for display. Registration forms must be received by April 3, 2020. All work, matted and framed (or otherwise ready for display, should be taken to the library by April 16. The Reception for Artists will be held on April 22, and artwork may be viewed by the public on April 23 and 24. The Clairton Public Library is located at 616 Miller Avenue, Clairton, PA 15025. Craft Show and Ethnic Food Festival in Belle Vernon Center on the Hill in Belle Vernon will be holding a ‘Craft Show & Ethnic Food Fest’ on Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Guests will enjoy crafts, a Chinese auction, and homemade ethnic foods including: halupki, pierogies, pasta fagioti, potato pancakes, german potato salad, hot dogs with sauerkraut, and a variety of baked goods. Free Admission! Center on the Hill is located at 100 Summit Rd., in Belle Vernon. Crafters who would like to reserve a table, please call 724-929-6366. Cost is $20 per table.
