Treforest is the home town of legendary Welsh singer, Tom Jones.
The area around Pontypridd has been named one of the best star-gazing sites in the UK.
THIS OPEN DAY IS THE BEST WAY TO FIND OUT IF THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH WALES IS RIGHT FOR YOU, SO MAKE THE MOST OF IT AND FIND OUT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
The Welsh national anthem, Mae Hen Wlad fy Nhadau, was composed in Pontypridd.
Pontypridd is home to the National Lido of Wales built in 1927 and recently restored to its full glory.
The Old Bridge after which the town is named is iconic. It’s now over 250 years old and the arch is longer and higher over the water than even the Rialto in Venice.
