Esteemed Colleagues, first of all let me express – also on behalf of my Rector prof. Paolo Collini – our affectionate closeness and solidarity to you all, to your colleagues, collaborators and students, to your people, in this very difficult moment of health emergency. Now more than ever, cohesion and collaboration have to be seen as essential values, and we are all responsible for demonstrating our attachment to them by facts, each at her/his own level and according to the her/his responsibilities. We received news (easily predictable news) from the AARC Secretariat that the plenary and SC meetings scheduled for May in Novi Pasar cannot take place, and will therefore be postponed to a date to be defined. This means, from a legal point of view and according to our interpretation, that this presidency will continue in the meantime under a prorogatio regime, pending formal handover. This is a particular situation, dictated by the very emergency, which adds to many other unexpected situations we are managing in these days. It is clear that at the moment any activity related to AARC will only be able to proceed slowly and only for current issues. We invite everyone to express their comments in this regard, providing all the suggestions that are deemed useful to face the period that awaits us. Above all, we ask you to report which initiatives must be considered suspended or canceled (for example, the doctoral meeting in Hungary). This appears necessary for both this presidency and the incoming one (Novi Pasar). We are obviously sorry for this occurrence, which falls within the category of unforeseeable facts. A particularly warm greeting to all of you, Prof. Maurizio Manzin AARC SC president
