POLICY


1. INTRODUCTION
Uni-Tankers is unwavering in its commitment to protecting Human Rights. We respect each individual and maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any violations against Human Rights. In accordance with the principles of the UN Global Compact and the International Labour Organization (ILO), we continuously strive to improve our Human Rights standards.
Uni-Tankers commits to uphold the following Human Rights:
▪ Freedom from slavery, including modern slavery, forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking. Uni-Tankers recognizes that slavery exists and actively strive to minimize instances by selecting responsible business partners.
▪ Fair working hours, healthy and safe working conditions, and fair pay, emphasizing the importance of rest and safety both off and onshore.
▪ Freedom from harassment or discrimination, with a zero tolerance for any employee who creates a hostile work environment.
▪ Freedom of religion and beliefs, trusting that a diverse group of employees contributes to a healthy and secure working environment.
▪ The right to health and rest by ensuring that employees have time to recharge and relax.
▪ Protection of personal data and privacy by keeping our data secure and investing in cybersecurity.
▪ Freedom of collective bargaining and association
Uni-Tankers' commitment to upholding and strengthening Human Rights is approved, supported, and endorsed by the executive management and incorporated into our Code of Conduct for both employees and suppliers. Our policies on Health & Safety, Anti-Harassment, and Anti-Corruption further support our Human Rights commitments
2. PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to affirm Uni-Tankers' unwavering commitment to upholding and promoting human rights across all facets of our operations.
By implementing this policy, we aim to ensure that every one of our employees, partners, and stakeholders is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. Our commitment extends to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment where the rights of all individuals are protected and celebrated.
3. EXPECTATIONS
Our Human Rights policy is publicly available for review.

In alignment with our commitment to Human Rights, we present our Human Rights Policy to new employees during their onboarding process. This is accompanied by our Code of Conduct, and we expect all employees to comply with and actively support the respect of Human Rights.
We extend the same standards and expectations to our business partners. Our Code of Conduct clearly communicates these expectations, emphasizing our collective responsibility towards upholding Human Rights.
4. REPORTING
At Uni-Tankers, we value and prioritize open and transparent communication regarding Human Rights. We address potential issues and outline preventive measures and strategies to mitigate them.
5. RAISING CONCERNS
We value transparency and encourage all stakeholders to raise any concerns, suspicions, or questions related to Human Rights.
All stakeholder concerns can be directed to our HR department at HR@uni-tankers.com or through our Whistleblower portal at Whistleblower Policy – Uni-Tankers
Our employees are urged to use our reporting channels if they identify or experience potential or actual impacts on Human Rights.
6. RELATED STANDARDS, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
This policy should be read in conjunction with other relevant company policies, including but not limited to the:
▪ Code of Conduct
▪ Whistleblower Policy
These documents provide additional guidance on expected behavior and the procedures for addressing non-compliance
7. RESPONSIBILITY
It is the responsibility of the Sustainability Controller to ensure that this policy is implemented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders within Uni-Tankers. The Sustainability Controller must also continuously review and update this policy to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness

8. REVIEW
All Uni-Tankers’ policies are subject to annual review. This policy will be reviewed at least once a year to ensure that Uni-Tankers remains compliant with global developments in Human Rights, including updates from the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Any changes to this policy must be presented to Uni-Tankers' executive management for approval.
