BCH All-College Meeting Establishes New Goals

We have set ambitious goals to continue driving the growth and impact of the Brooks College of Health. Our priorities include achieving at least a 10% increase in student enrollments, raising the four-year graduation rate to 52%, and maintaining strong outcomes with a three-year transfer graduation rate of 82% and an academic progress rate of 88%. We are also committed to advancing our research profile with a goal of submitting at least 20 external proposals, increasing fundraising efforts to secure a minimum of $4.1 million, and deepening our community engagement initiatives. These objectives are grounded in our shared commitment to student success, research excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous growth and positive change.

LINKING INDUSTRY TO NURSING EDUCATION (LINE) FUNDING

$771,600

FL BOG + MAYO CLINIC, FL

The Nurse Anesthesiology Program (NAP) has received $771,600 in support from the Florida Board of Governors and our community partner, Mayo Clinic of Florida. These funds will allow the program to grow by hiring an additional clinical education coordinator and enhancing the MedNexus-Deerwood Simulation Center to better accommodate increased enrollments.

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to our NAP faculty and Mayo Clinic partners for their exceptional efforts in making this possible.

BCH GRADUATE STUDENTS LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Building on the positive feedback from our last two graduate cohort leadership training sessions, the BCH Leadership Institute is once again offering the IGNITE training to all graduate students this year. A total of 78 students have enrolled in the current cohort, following the successful participation of 106 students in the first cohort and 65 students in the second.
