B a b y D

Underground Hip-Hop Magazine had a chance to catch up with Donald “Baby D” Jenkins and this is what he had to say.

1. Before we start, let our fans know where they can follow you day to day? You can follow me on all major platforms — Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube under my official name, Donald “Baby D” Jenkins. I try to stay connected with the people and keep them updated on music, film, and everything I’ve got going on.

2. How did you get into the movies and music field?

I came into this from real life. Music was my first outlet. It was how I told my story and expressed what I was going through. Over time, that turned into acting and filmmaking because I realized my story was bigger than just records. Film gave me another way to show the truth, the struggle, and the growth.

3. What’s the goal for this particular film?

The goal for THE BLOCK CREW is simple to tell a real story and inspire people. We wanted to show the streets honestly, but also show that change is possible. This film is about choices, consequences, and growth. If somebody watches it and feels motivated to do better, then we did our job.

4. As for the music, what’s the next move?

I’m still working on new music and collaborating with different artists. Music will always be part of me. The next move is dropping more meaningful records, building soundtracks, and connecting music with film so everything works together.

5. What’s it like having a movie on Tubi? How did that deal happen?

It’s a blessing. Tubi gives independent creators a real platform to be seen worldwide. We worked hard, stayed consistent, and built something solid. When the opportunity came, we were ready. It shows that if you put in the work and believe in your vision, doors will open.

6. What advice do you have for underground artists trying to reach their dreams?

Stay consistent. Don’t quit. Don’t chase trends, build your own lane. Invest in yourself. Learn the business. And surround yourself with people who really want to see you win, not just benefit from you.

7. How important is it to invest in yourself? It’s everything. Nobody is going to believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Whether it’s studio time, equipment, education, or promotion. You have to be willing to put something into your dream before you expect anything back.

8. What are your goals for 2026?

My goals are expansion and elevation. More films. More music. Bigger distribution. More ownership. More opportunities for my team. I want to continue building a legacy that lasts longer than me.

9. What’s the biggest support you need from new fans and followers? Support the work. Watch the films. Stream the music. Share the content. Tell somebody about it. That organic support means more than anything. When fans support consistently, it pushes everything forward.

10. Is there anything else you want fans to know?

I want people to know this is bigger than entertainment. This is purpose. This is about showing that you can come from anywhere and still build something meaningful. I appreciate everyone who’s been rocking with me from day one and everyone just joining the movement.

And remember THE BLOCK CREW isn’t just a movie. It’s a message

ROMES Body Oils

Chef Howard

Chef Howard stopped by to share his world-famous recipe, Strawberry Wings.

Ingredients in Strawberry Barbecue Hot Wings

chicken wings

salt Sugar paprika

poultry seasoning or soul food seasoning

barbecue sauce

strawberry jam or strawberry preserves hot sauce (use your favorite)

optional: cayenne pepper

Season with seasoning mix and evenly coat. Cook them how you want; the best results are baked, but frying them is also good.

While the chicken is cooking, simmer barbecue sauce, hot sauce, and strawberry jam on low heat for about five minutes or until well combined. Toss the sauce on top of the wings and you have delicious eating. “Thanks, Underground Hip-Hop Magazine, for letting me share my talents and see more recipes on https://www.tastyrecipesforlife.com/”.
