This new year has certainly brought some change to us. Sarah and her family have relocated, and Morgan moved homes. We are both embarking on this journey of making a new space. Ever heard of DIY? Well, let’s just say it’s something both of us moms on a budget like to do. You get something rusty and used, strip it down, and make it beautiful again. We have really felt God speaking to us during these DIY projects. He’s been gently reminding us that even when we go through a rusty season that leaves us feeling dried up and used, He wants to tear away everything that doesn’t belong and make us new again. God wants to restore us to beautiful again. We encourage you this month as you read this, to allow yourself to be God’s DIY. Take time to sit back and reflect on yourself. What do you need God to strip away, where do you need some “fixing up” and will you allow God to make all things new in your life? Morgan Kawakami & Sarah Wilson Uncommon Girl Magazine Co-founders
