Study Your Surroundings

Studying abroad is a realistic opportunity for all UNC Charlotte students. Students of any major or minor are eligible. Courses taken abroad contribute to graduation requirements, ensuring participants graduate on time. Furthermore, speaking a foreign language is not a prerequisite to studying abroad. Courses are available in English in most destination countries.

To be eligible to study abroad, students are expected to be in good academic and disciplinary standing. Grade Point Average requirements vary per program, but are typically between 2.0-3.0 GPA. Students become eligible to study abroad the summer after freshman year. Transfer students need only establish a GPA at UNC Charlotte to qualify.
