Member Kitty Jordan from Winston-Salem enjoys watching PBS NC’s documentaries and programs like Washington Week . For her, these shows “connect the dots” by providing a fuller picture of North Carolina’s people and places.
Some members love traveling back in time through Masterpiece classics like Sanditon and All Creatures Great & Small . Recently, Sanditon fans—including some in costume—joined us in our studios to watch the season premiere of the hit series.
In addition to enjoying our programs on air and online, you can also experience PBS North Carolina in your own community. In March, the Rootle Roadster Tour kicked off with visits to towns and festivals across our state. Free and open to the public, this family-friendly series is designed to build awareness of resources and services for our youngest learners. Visit pbsnc.org/RoadsterTour to learn more.
We hope you stay engaged with PBS North Carolina, whether it be on air, online, via the PBS App, at an in-person or virtual event or all of the above.

Meet Alma Rivera
The series Alma’s Way stars Alma Rivera, a confident Puerto Rican girl who lives in the Bronx. In each story, Alma learns to think for herself, make decisions and understand other points of view while making lots of messy and hilarious mistakes all along the way.
Watch Alma’s Way weekdays at 2:30 PM on Rootle.
Let’s Get Cooking!
Mofongo is a Puerto Rican dish that your family can make together. The beauty of mofongo is its simplicity—green plantains, garlic, salt and olive oil are the foundation of this delicious dish. And though there are just a few ingredients, mofongo can taste as varied as you’d like. Have fun and give your little ones the freedom to experiment with the flavors. Visit pbsnc.org/mofongo for the tasty recipe.
