On behalf of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, we welcome you to the Triton family! As a commuter student, we know you may have your family or job pulling you in many different directions, but we hope you have time to be a part of the Triton community! Here are a few ways to get involved and jumpstart your path to success at UMSL. 

Attend Weeks of Welcome Events– You will meet people and get connected during those first few days and weeks of school. Weeks of Welcome (WOW) has six full weeks of programs, workshops, and fun!



Join us for Triton Takeoff Weekend– On Friday, August 22nd new students can begin to enjoy a weekend full of activities. Join us for the starting Kickoff on Friday night at 6:30PM in the Mark Twain Gymnasium. You will get to meet as many new students as possible while having fun!



Attend the Commuter Meeting– Sunday, August 24th at 3:00 p.m. meet in the Fireside Lounge, located on the second floor of the Millennium Student Center, (next to Einstein Bagels). You will have an opportunity to meet other commuter students, hear from current commuter students, pick up a WOW Calendar Booklet and a chance to win a FREE gas card for attending!

Following this meeting, we will travel to the Serendipity Sendoff.



Attend the FREE Welcome Picnic & Serendipity Sendoff– On Sunday, August 24th join us at 4:30p.m. for the Serendipity Sendoff where all new students will participate in a ceremonial walk to signify the start of the new academic year. Join us in front of the TJ Library for a brief ceremony. The Welcome Picnic will start immediately following the Sendoff on the outside patio of the Millennium Student Center at 5:00 p.m. Join us for games, food and free stuff!



Pick up a WOW Calendar– You will find WOW Calendars located in all of the offices in the Millennium Student Center, and at the Help-A-Triton tables around campus on August 25 and 26. This calendar will list all the events going on during the first six weeks of school.
