HOW DO I GET A SCHOLARSHIP? All first-time freshmen will automatically be considered for university scholarships upon admission. Students are given priority consideration when they are admitted on or before March 1 preceding the start of the academic year. Students must enroll in the fall semester immediately following their high school graduation.

Factors used to determine eligibility include: • ACT Composite score or the SAT(I) total equivalent • One of the following: 1. Class Rank 2. Core GPA

Need-Based Scholarships All students are encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is available on October 1 preceding the start of the academic year. Once Financial Aid receives your FAFSA, they will communicate with you via your UMSL email account. Be sure to activate your student email account and check it regularly.

Private Scholarships UMSL is proud to offer over 400 private scholarship opportunities made possible by generous donors. These opportunities range from $500 to full tuition and can all be applied for by completing one simple application by January 1 of your senior year.
