Prepare for your future In your first year, you’ll take a specially designed course that immerses you in multi-disciplinary engineering activities.

You’ll work in teams and gain hands-on experience. In your senior year, a capstone project will enable you to demonstrate your engineering knowledge and skills with a team of your peers.

Internships abound with companies like Apple, Bose, and Lockheed Martin. And our professors work with undergraduate and graduate students to conduct research for organizations like the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Gaurav Khanna and his physics students harnessed the processing power of 176 Sony PlayStation 3 game systems to create a supercomputer to study stars, gravitational waves, and other research areas.

Nakira Examond ’19 2017 Little East Conference Player of the Year Nakira led the UMass Dartmouth women’s basketball team to the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament last season. Nakira earned First Team All-New England honors from both D3hoops.com and the New England Women’s Basketball Association. The psychology major hails from New Bedford.
