Chris Waite

Director Of Parks and Recreation

Chris has been working in parks and recreation for 17 years. Most recently, he was a park and cemetery supervisor for the City of Billings, MT. He also worked as a community outreach/volunteer coordinator and a recreation director. Chris has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and a Master’s in Public Administration. He loves, supports, and enjoys this field of work. His wife and three adventurous kids complete his family. He is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to work for the City of Umatilla.

Luke Romero

Parks and Recreation Coordinator Luke has a Bachelor degree in Organizational Communication and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has lived all over the northwest; Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada. He has work in distribution management. Now, his true passion is Parks and Recreation. Luke and his family love community involvement and are committed to serving others. Luke is thankful to have become part of the team here in Umatilla.

Noemy Vega

Parks and Recreation Coordinator Noemy was born in California and lived there until she was in middle school. Then her family moved to Oregon, and she has been here since. She graduated from Linfield University with a B.A. in Studio Arts. Right after graduating, she worked in the Financial Aid office. She has been back in the area for a little over a year and is excited about the new career path she is starting on in Parks and Recreation.

Salud Campos

RV Park and Marina Clerk Salud was born in Mexico, moved to the USA at age 3 and has lived in

Umatilla for more than 25 years. She graduated from Umatilla High

School “Go Vikings!” Salud is married to Jose and has two amazing kids. She enjoys volunteering for her community and is thrilled to be working for the City of Umatilla Parks and Recreation Dept.

Gunner and Megan Olsen

Big River Golf Course Management Gunner and Megan met and married in Spokane 18 years ago. They moved to Hermiston in 2007 when we purchased Umatilla Golf Course and changed it to Big River. They owned and operated until December 2020 when they sold it to the City of Umatilla. They have two boys, ages 16 & 13 who are very active in multiple sports. They enjoy travelling and watching their kids activities, wherever that takes them.

Tiene trabajo en gestión de distribución. Ahora, su verdadera pasión es Parques y Recreación. Luke y su familia aman la participación en la comunidad y están comprometidos a servir a los demás. Oficinista de Marina y Parque de RV

Salud nació en México, se mudó a los Estados Unidos a los 3 años y vive en Umatilla desde hace más de 25 años. Se graduó de la escuela secundaria Umatilla “Go Vikings!” Salud está casada con José y tiene dos hijos maravillosos. Le gusta ser voluntaria para su comunidad y está encantada de trabajar para el Departamento de Parques y Recreación de la Gunner and Megan Olsen Ciudad de Umatilla.

Big River campo de Golf Gerencia Gunner y Megan se conocieron y se casaron en Spokane hace 18 años. Se mudaron a Hermiston en 2007 cuando compraron el campo de golf Umatilla y lo cambiaron a Big River. Fueron propietarios y operaron hasta diciembre de 2020 cuando lo vendieron a la Ciudad de Umatilla. Tienen dos hijos, de 16 y 13 años, que son muy activos en múltiples deportes.
