The mission of the City of Umatilla is to continue working for a safe, liveable, desirable, and economically viable community, which promotes managed growth, while maintaining small-town values.

The City of Umatilla Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide high quality, affordable diverse recreational opportunities that are accessible to all residents of Umatilla. Additionally, we seek to provide public spaces and services that promote community connections and healthy lifestyles.

Volunteer Opportunities

Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? The City of Umatilla is looking for groups such as sports teams, school clubs, and other groups to volunteer at our future events!

We are also looking for instructors to teach classes for any and all age groups in the community, reach out to us if you are interested in sharing your talents with the community!

Kids Bingo

It’s that time of year again! Fall brings not only a change in season but indoor activities so Kid’s bingo is back! Admission includes one (1) bingo card per round per admission. We will go through as many rounds as possible during the hour event so that we can get as many winners as possible!

Scavenger Hunt

Need something to do right before the holidays? Well look no further, the Parks and Recreation Department will be holding their second month-long holiday themed scavenger hunt. Weekly challenges will take place which means there will be many opportunities to win prizes. You must follow us on Facebook to be eligible to win. Weekly prize sneak peaks will be released as the new scavenger hunt begins.

Bingo para niños

Adult Bingo Nights

Love Bingo? Well good news, we will be hosting several bingo nights this Fall once again. Bingo nights will begin November. There will be prizes throughout the night for 5 in a row, blackout, X, four corners, and even special patterns as determined by the host. Follow us on social media to be up to date on this event!

Intro to Ceramics

Geared towards beginners, this Intro to Ceramics class will go over general hand building and wheel throwing techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to build several pieces over the duration of the class, with the last class being a short day to finalize fired pieces with a glaze.

Open Studio Time - Ceramics

Weekly times where students who have completed the Intro to Ceramics class can come use the ceramics equipment for a small fee. You may bring your own clay and tools or purchase clay for an additional fee. Time slots can be booked online through our Civicrec system. Need help? Call into our office for assistance, walk-ins welcome!

Saturdays beginning on Nov 11th 9:00am to 12:00pm Community Center $10 per hour - tools included not clay

Introducción a Cerámica

Dirigida a principiantes, esta clase de Introducción a la Cerámica repasará técnicas generales de construcción manual y lanzamiento de ruedas. Trick-or-Treat on 6th Event Details

Time: 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm

The first half hour will be a sensory friendly time block for any children who need it and businesses will be handing out candy along 6th Street.

City Hall will be opened and fully decorated for the event. The theme will be a surprise so stop by to check it out and load up on some candy.

Take the opportunity to grab free hot chocolate and cookies before stopping by to take a picture with Santa! Wrapping paper will be handing out for free while supplies last.
