Spring has been buzzing with energy, creativity, and connection across our dining program! Over the past few weeks, we have had a blast bringing memorable moments to life from Boston Pizza Cupcakes to build-your-own flower bouquets to refreshing acai bowls that brighten everyday experiences and spark smiles across campus

We also hosted cultural events that paired great food with meaningful partnerships, celebrating diverse flavors and strengthening our community connections. A standout highlight: Moonlight Breakfast, a beloved tradition that continues to bring comfort, joy, and a sense of community during busy times.

Behind the scenes, our team has been hard at work supporting many catering events throughout April and May. From meetings to celebrations and special occasions, we have been proud to deliver thoughtful service and high-quality experiences across campus

Thank you for being part of our journey there is so much more to come!

And we are just getting started! Looking ahead to next year, we are excited to introduce new retail concepts, technology enhancements, Grove improvements, and expand our sustainability initiatives. Every effort is focused on elevating the dining program, enhancing guest experience, and ensuring we continue to be the very best we can be.

A Message From Chef Angie

My name is Angie Nunez, and I have been with the UMass Dartmouth community for seven years now. I began on the grill and kept moving up the ladder. I was a Catering Chef for three years and am now a Culinary Supervisor at The Grove. I have always loved cooking for my family, seeing them enjoy my creations and ideas, and turning a simple meal into a memorable experience

One thing I have learned as a chef is that there is always room for constant learning, and you see growth in your work and experiences. The culinary world is always evolving, offering endless opportunities to master new techniques, cuisines, and ingredients The chef setting is something that I truly admire because it is such a high-energy environment I cannot wait to see what the future hold for me in the UMassD Dining community and the culinary world.
