DANIEL RUSTVANG, ’74, and his wife, Pam, moved from Grand Forks to Bismarck in May 2021. Both worked as nurse practitioners at Altru Health System for more than 20 years. Daniel and Pam have five children and six grandchildren.

KEVIN FREBORG, ’87, retired from his 34- year career in the federal government’s Inspector General community. For the past seven years, he served as finance operational manager for the U.S. Postal Service Inspector General. Kevin currently resides in Eagan, MN.

JESSICA GIBSON, ’03, and her husband own Rocky Mountain Shirtworks, LLC, in Laramie, WY.

SHEENA HERRMANN, ’05, and her husband, Hagen, welcomed a daughter, Clara, in 2020. Sheena is a band teacher at Saskatoon Public Schools.

ELIZABETH WATSON, ’08, her husband, Travis, and big brothers, Benjamin and Isaac, are proud to announce the arrival of a baby girl, Hannah Irene Watson, born October 28, 2021, in Hazen, ND.

VINCENT GENAREO, ’09, is an assistant dean and associate professor of assessment at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Iowa State University. He also serves as a program evaluator and researcher for numerous educational grants in Maryland.

NATALIE (NAGLE), ’10, ’13, and Nick Jung were married on September 25, 2021, in Pierre, SD. Natalie works in public health and her husband is a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

CARRIE SCARR, ’10, is a writer, illustrator, and YouTuber. She writes about frugal living on her blog, and posts YouTube videos to @FrugalCarrie. She lives in Bozeman, Montana. She recently published her first book, “136 Frugal Ways to Save the Planet.”

KRISTEN (STEWART), ’11, married TROY GUPTILL, ’14, in June 2016. The couple just welcomed their third child, Mia, and moved to California in the San Diego area. Kristen was an All- American track and field scholar-athlete for UMary.

ALLISON (GORDER) SLICK, ’11, ’13, works at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND. She married Geoff in 2016, and they are proud parents to son Gordie, born in 2018, and daughter Hattie, born in 2020.

ALEX BORCHARDT, ’15, started a new job as the owner of The Lake Nutrition in Prior Lake, MN. She and her husband welcomed a daughter, Rooney Jessa, in 2020.

SARAH (NELSON) KJOLHAUG, ’16, married Christopher on October 5, 2019. They are proud parents to Edison Lee, born September 15, 2020. The family lives in Duluth, MN, where Sarah is an occupational therapist.

PAIGE (RISING) SNYDER, ’18, works at St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck, ND. Paige and her husband Jordan welcomed their first child, a son, Ezra Paul, on January 9, 2021.

JOHN SHAKAL, ’18, and his wife Rachel have three children, Benedict (3), Avila (2), and Joseph (5 months). John served as a FOCUS missionary for three years and is now the director of outreach and evangelization in the city parishes of Chippewa Falls, WI.

ALYSSA HAPPE, ’18, and her husband, Andy, had their second child, Grant Leo Happe, on November 4, 2021, joining big brother, Luke. Alyssa was recently promoted to lead clinician at Primary Health Care in Des Moines, IA.

LIZ, ’18, and SAM RAZINK, ’19, were married on August 29, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Parish in Mandan, ND after meeting five years earlier in the University of Mary’s Rome Program. Sam accepted a new job at Sylvan Learning of Bismarck in 2021. Liz works for Bobcat in Bismarck in the sourcing department.

Katherine (Wilson) & Colton Ford's Family

KATHERINE (WILSON), ’18, married COLTON FORD, ’19, in the summer of 2019. After finding out they were pregnant with twins, Lucia and Damian, they moved to Washington to be closer to her family. They moved to Bismarck in November 2021 after giving birth to their third child, Zelie.

MARY (GORECKI), ’19, and her husband, JOSE JIMENEZ, ’19, were married in 2020 and are now both teachers. Mary works at Light of Christ Catholic Schools in Bismarck, ND.

Mikayla (Lindquist) Anderson

MIKAYLA (LINDQUIST) ANDERSON, ’21, moved to Shreveport, LA, after marrying Trevor Anderson on October 6, 2020. Trevor is an air traffic controller at Barksdale Air Force Base. Mikayla is employed at Revision Marketing Group as creative lead for graphic design and website development.

JENNIFER ILLICH, ’21, was promoted from the director of operations to the executive director of FirstLink. FirstLink answers the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 211 phone lines, and contract agency phone lines for the entire state of North Dakota.

MELISSA (MILLIREN), ’21, and MICHAEL ANGSTEN, ’21, were married in 2021. Melissa accepted a new job as an operations administrator at BNC National Bank-East Main Bismarck.

JACQUELINE TONG, ’21, was promoted to accountant at the City of Irvine in California. She is married to Eddie Choi.
