GOWN - Three types of black gowns are distinguished in the academic procession. The baccalaureategownshavelong,pointedsleeves.Themastersgownshaveoblongsleeveswithanarc cutawryinthefront.Thedoctorategownsarefacedwithvelvetandhavebell-shapedsleeveswith threebarsofvelvet.

As a non-traditional student,JuddreturnedtoUMMtostudybiologyandchemistrywiththe intentionofgoingontopharmacyschoolaftergraduation.Juddgraduatedin2013andenrolled at Creighton University School of PharmacyandHealthProfessionsinOmaha,Nebraska. He graduated with his PharmD in 2018. Judd is married with two children. His son is a recent graduateofSetonHallUniversityinNewJerseyandisnowservingintheUnitedStatesArmyasa 2nd Lieutenant. His daughter is nearing completion of her undergraduate degree at Villanova University in Pennsylvania withplanstoattendMedicalSchoolaftergraduation.Judd’swifeis KathleenLoughlinBragg,whograduatedfromUMMin2016withadegreeinPsychologyand CommunityStudies. ShereceivedherMaster’sdegreefromCreightonUniversityin2019andis theDirectorofSmallBusinessandEntrepreneurshipattheSunriseCountyEconomicCouncil. JuddiscurrentlyworkingasthePharmacist-in-ChargeatWalgreensPharmacyinMachiasandis servingasViceChairoftheBoardofTrusteesforDowneastCommunityandCalaisCommunity Hospitals.

Katie works at the Maine Seacoast Mission in partnership with Rose M. Ganey elementary school in Machias.SheistheYouthDevelopmentCoordinatorandrunstheEdGEafter-school andsummerprogramanddoesin-schoolprogramswithstudentsindierentgradesthroughout WashingtonCounty.OriginallybornandraisedontheNewHampshireseacoast,shecametothe University of Maine at Machias in 2009 andfellinlovewiththearea.Aftergraduation,Katie workedfortheMaineDepartmentofMarineResourcesforveyearsbeforendingherhomeat the Maine Seacoast Mission. She and her husband own and operate Mahoney’s Gaming EmporiuminMachias,whichsellsgamingproductsandprovidesaspaceforpeopletocomeand playtabletopgames.
