ULTRAPOL End & Edge Polisher Advanced Cross-Sectioning with Angular Control ULTRAPOL End and Edge polishing Tool is designed for a wide range of applications including cross-sections, wedge TEM samples, parallel polish of SEM samples, fiber optic connectors and many other routine processes. The system has an oscillating angled arm with optional digital angle readout and set. The Z movement is controlled in one micron increments with a process timer and wheel tachometer standard. The work arm has 'Quick Release' removable chucks for various types and sizes of samples including vise, linear clamps, SEM stubs, TEM Pyrex rods, and fiber optic connectors. The lapping surface is variable speed, 8" dia. with quick release lapping plates and solenoid variable flow water control. Constructed in a heavy duty steel cabinet, the unit is suitable for production as well as research and QA purposes.
